The relationship between circadian system and cell cycle
Vrtílková, Andrea ; Bendová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Fárková, Eva (referee)
The circadian system is able to oscillate by itself owing to the transcriptional-translation feedback loop. Components of this loop do not affect just their own run, but they also have an impact on some other functions of the cell, for example cell cycle. This interaction is made by clock proteins (PER, CRY etc.) and by clock-controlled proteins (WEE1, TIM, XPA etc.). These proteins participate in the cell cycle run and have an impact on check-points. Disruption of the circadian clock can cause faults in cell cycle check-points, storing of DNA damages and increased cell apoptosis or tumor progression. Key words: circadian systém, cell cycle, WEE1, XPA, P21, C-Myc, TIM, PER
Comparison of selected performance indicators basketball players from NBA in matches at the European Championship in 2011 and World Cup 2014
Kanta, Jakub ; Velenský, Michael (advisor) ; Kaprálek, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Comparison of selected performance indicators basketball players from NBA in matches at the European Championship in 2011 and World Cup 2014 Goals: Analyze individual efforts NBA players for two international events with national team, in broader context to evaluate and quantify their efficiency with the two special coefficients. Compare their performance on each tournament with using selected statistics, than compare them with the elite players in many categories at the championships, but also in their teams. I think very useful is final comparison their results on tournaments with their career averages from national team and NBA regular season, to see if the performances for national team achieve their performances in the best club competition in the world. In teoretical part I'll also focus to the socio-economic aspects affecting composition of national basketball teams, which significantly affect the overall composition and therofore their success , which is prestented by overall team placement. Obvious is endeavour to describe the diversity of game plans in overeas and Europe, but also different politics of NBA and FIBA. Method: For my thesis I chose a secondary analysis of official statistics NBA players emerged on both of these tournaments, so the Europeans, but also with a valid...
Laboratory options in diagnostics of bacterial meningitis
Fárová, Marcela ; Nyč, Otakar (advisor) ; Hobstová, Jiřina (referee)
The mutual companson of the methods used for the diagnostics of bacterial meningitides was the aim of this work. The bacterial meningitis is a very serious disease and its laboratory diagnostics should include such a spectrum of the examinations, which guarantees the highest posibility of discovering the pathogens. The efficiency of latex agglutination, classic bacterial cultivation and peR of Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae was compared. The peR enables the direct prove of DNA for the pathogens mentioned above. The results confirmed the contribution of peR that is rapid, specific and sensitive. It was proved in 5 cases, where the peR was positive, while the other tests were false negative. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Gas heat pump
Kulich, Marek ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis, in the theoretical section, explains the principle of functionality of heat pumps, their efficiency and distribution by type of circulation and heat source. The next part is devoted to technical research of comercially available gas heat pumps that are, in the calculation part, compared with electrical heat pump and with gas condensing boiler according to their energy efficiency.
Quality of Services in Optical Access Networks
Šifta, Radim ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the optical access networks and deals with the issue of transmission parameters of the physical layer, their negative impact on the quality of the services parameters and the possibilities of reducing their effect using the polarization multiplexing. The first and second chapter describe the theoretical background necessary for understanding the subsequent parts. The third chapter contains the practical part of the thesis. At first the optical routes in the Czech Republic in terms of polarization mode dispersion, which is together with insertion loss the main limiting parameter of high-speed optical networks, are evaluated. In the following part the measuring of the temperature changes effects on the polarization mode dispersion of the passive components and the effect of temperature changes to the polarization multiplexed signal are evaluated. To double the bandwidth and reduce the influence of polarization mode dispersion on the quality of services, the two simulation models of optical access networks using polarization multiplexing were carried out. These theoretical outputs were verified by the practical measurements in the laboratory and subsequently on the real optical route. Finally, a draft of the broadband optical access network based on wavelength and polarization multiplexing was designed based on obtained knowledge.
Hodnocení investičního životního pojištění
Božková, Zuzana
The thesis deals with the issue of the cost of life investment insurance. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate overall cost of selected investment products of life insurance with the aid of specific costs indicators which are used in the Czech Republic. These indicators are PER, TER and TANK. In the conclusion, recommendations for potential buyers of life investment insurance are summarized there.
Investment life insurance, its costs and impacts on a client
Tomšová, Kateřina ; Poul, Ondřej (advisor)
The object of this thesis is the issue of costs of the product investment life insurance (primarily costs of its investment component). The aim of the first part is to introduce the product in general and the other parts are concerned with indicators of costs - TANK, PER and TER, which are used in practice. These indicators are described from both theoretical and practical points of view, as I've made an analysis of their most important characteristics and impacts on the portfolio of the Czech insurance companies.
