Client Server Application for the Creation of File Pages for the PČR
Terbr, Filip ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Rydlo, Štěpán (advisor)
The diploma thesis is devoted to the design and implementation of a system for editing photographic documentation of the Police of the Czech Republic. The work includes an analysis of currently used technologies, a design of the client application, a design of the server part of the system and a description of the implementation of the client and server parts of the system. The resulting implementation of the server part is written in JavaScript with support for the Express.JS framework, the resulting client application is written in JavaScript using the Electron framework.
Data Extraction from PDF Documents
Bartošák, Michal ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The work focuses on extracting information from medical records saved in PDF format, which were created by heart pacemakers during regular patient monitoring in the hospital. The result of this work is a desktop application written in Java that retrieves and analyzes data from records using PDFBox and pdf2dom libraries. The output of the application is a CSV file, which represents the acquired values in table form, as well as extracted images that are saved to a user-defined output folder. Application testing on records from three different companies proved that record extraction is highly reliable (with overall precision and recall metrics reaching almost 100 % in every test), provided that the application arguments are correctly set.
Automated Processing of PDF Document Contents
Gajdošík, Štefan ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the extraction of data generated by pacemakers. The main content of this thesis is to introduce the PDF document format, tools for working with PDF documents, description of techniques for data extraction, and implementation of an application for automatic data extraction in Python programming language.
ICT tester
Tatar, Martin ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the extension of the ICT Tester plugin module which allows the user to digitally sign the generated outputs and with the testing of selected DoS attacks that are implemented in it. In the practical part selected attacks are created and tested. Then the new funcionality for digital signature is implemented.
Mobile App for Management of Transactions with Cryptocurrencies
Bobčík, Pavel ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a mobile application which would serve as auxiliary tool in cryptocurrency trading. The application is therefore targeting group of people already engaged in this market. The user can store and keep track of information about his transactions, such as purchase, sale and exchange. The application works with basic information, such as quantity, price, cryptocurrency name and date of proceeding. Based on the information it makes necessary calculations for correct organization in FIFO queue. Transactions can be further modified. Newly gained information are then processed. The user has option to generate PDF file, including all the information about own transactions in selected tax period. Also the overview of the currently registered cryptocurrencies can be displayed in the application. The design and entire looks of the application was consulted with potential users with its aim for maximizing user experience and also simplify orientation. Some observations serve as opportunities for further development.

Skočdopole, Jan ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with load testing and its use in computer security. The goal of this thesis was implementing new functionality in existing solution based on Apache JMeter load testing tool. Next goal was verification of possibility of running testing tool on another operating system and update of documentation. PDF export with electronic signature support shod be implemented in the Network Analyzer plug-in. The Apache PDFBox library was used in this work. Result of thesis is new functionality of export to PDF format with electronic signature support, updated documentation and fix of some module bug.

Bujok, Jonáš ; Raab, Jan (advisor) ; Falt, Zbyněk (referee)
Title: A Tool for Transformation of PDF to Text Author: Jonáš Bujok Department: Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics (32-UFAL) Supervisor: Mgr. Jan Raab, Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics (32-UFAL) Abstract: In this thesis we described an extraction procedure of text information from PDF (Portable Document Format) files. Thesis is focused mainly on middle-Europe languages. We designed, described and implemented program for this purpose. Besides the program and it's description the thesis contains information about PDF format object structure, it's syntax and logic necessary for proper understanding of text searching principles in PDF file. We also discussed filters, fonts and all other PDF Objects that the program need to process. This thesis also deals with methods and possibilities of improving program's functionality, speed, memory usage, reliability an universality of usage.
Designing and implementing GUI for PDF Editor
Pešková, Eva ; Mišutka, Jozef (advisor) ; Lasák, Petr (referee)
Thesis analyses existing PDF editors and focuses on creating new one that is user-friendly, simple and easy-to-use. The final product contains basic operations with text, images and annotations. It is also possible to view the changes via version control. Implementation was based upon existing project PDFEdit, created as a Software Project for Faculty of mathematical and physics at Charles university. It is using QT4 library for creating graphical user interface. The final product will be distributable to Windows-class operating systems via installation file and on system based on Unix via Makefile.
