Preschool children's errors in test of sentence repetition

This bachelor paper offer summary of sentence repetition test and interpret performance data of Czech pre-school children in this test. Primary data of this study come from crosslingvistic longitudinal study Establishing the foundation of Literacy Development in European Language of project ELDEL. The goal of this paper is to introduce a reader with the Sentence Repetition Test, its structure, referention of this test in international context, describe the performances view of this test in pre-school Czech chilldren and evaluate performances of Czech pre-schoolchildren through the qualitative interpretation of mistakes. This study describe main presumption in acquiring reading process, important for this theme. There are mentioned the sensitive grammer markers pointing to the processes of aqiuiring literacy. In this work there are summarized interanational approaches to the Sentence Repetition Test and described knowledges and researches of this test. This paper interpret the data collection, administration and evaluation performances of Czech pre-school children in the Sentence Repetition Test and provide qualitative description. Use of Lapbook to Develop Reading Pre-Literacy in Preschool Children

This diploma thesis deals with the Lapbook teaching method and its use to develop reading literacy for preschool-age children. The aim is to develop a deeper understanding of the text read by children and their creation of their own interactive book. The work presents an integrative project that is to stimulate children's interest in literature, understanding the story through appropriately selected activities and get acquainted with the entire process of making a Lapbook. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part characterizes in general reading literacy, reading pre-literacy and its anchoring in the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education. Furthermore, the characteristics of the period in terms of the child's development and the development of reading skills, the factors influencing reading, such as the influence of family or kindergarten, and the prerequisites for the development of reading literacy. The topic is also the importance of the book for preschool children and reading strategies with a focus on the E - U - R model (evocation - awareness of meaning - reflection). Pre reading and Early Literacy of Children with Hearing Handicaps

This bachelor thesis focuses on prereading and early literacy in children with hearing impairments. There are two parts, firstly a theortical part and secondly a practical part. The theoretical part provides definitions of literacy and looks at different approaches by various authors. This generally focuses on reading literacy, prereading and early literacy, and issues of children's reading. Next are outlined factors affecting prereading and early literacy, and early reading skills in children with hearing disabilities. The following chapter examines literacy and how it relates to the Curriculum Framework for Preschool Education. The Final section of the theoretical part is devoted to testing prereading and early literacy in both the Czech Republic and the international environment, not only for pupils with hearing disabilities, but also hearing pupils. The practical part is devoted to investigating research into prereading and the early literacy of children with hearing impairment in nursery schools for the deaf in the Czech Republic; focusing on their final year before entering elementary school.
