Folktale, dream and their connections

The dissertation discusses the similarities or even possible relatedness of folktales and dreams. The theoretical framework of this research is mainly psychoanalytical - in accordance with psychoanalytic theory, the assumption is accepted that manifestations of the unconscious can be observed in folktales, as well as in dreams. Manifest and latent content can be found in both, folktales and dreams, and therefore they can be interpreted. Some authors, such as the Hungarian folklorist G. Róheim, propose that a folktale originally comes from an individual dream, which was told by a dreamer and gradually enriched with cultural specifics. M. Kučera's theory of induction follows from this - folktales induce dreams that would have been dreamed anyway, because their content is based on child's unconscious needs and conflicts. The first part presents the theoretical basis. In the next part, a possible procedure for interpreting a folktale is shown on the folktale type ATU 510B (Princess with a Golden Star on her Forehead from B. Němcová). The available versions of the folktale are searched and compared; the basic timeline of the folktale is defined. Dostoevsky in psychobiographical approach

This theoretical thesis tries to make a comprehensive view of the personality of Dostoevsky by using principles of psychobiography. First part of the work introduces main psychobiographical book written by William T. Schultz et al. and some others fields focused on psychology of art or artists. Biography of Dostoevsky as the initial material we analyze is also necessary part of the work. Freud's work about Dostoevsky that emphasizes parricide as a key theme of Dostoevsky's final novel and gives it into connection with his life and his relationship with father is starting point of analysis of Dostoevsky's life. Opinions of literary scientists and others experts and also thorough analysis of "Brothers Karamazov" are added to the interpretation of Freud's essay.

The life and work of a painter Jan Zrzavý: an attempt of interpretation

This work analysis the psychological influence of the family and social background to the life and art expression of an artist. It follows the parallels between the life and work of Jan Zrzavý and Leonardo da Vinci, the link between their sexual orientation and their work of art. This work focuses on the phenomenon of "sublimation" with respect to individual and social benefit. It tries to prove the importance of art production as the means of communication of the artist both with his own mind and with the viewer as well as with conscious and unconscious parts of his personality.
Art Therapy - Working with Standard Population

The topic will be divided into two parts {--} theoretical and practical ones {--} and a conclusion with an evaluation of the project. The theoretical part will include the basic data concerning developmental psychology together with a deeper insight into a period of adulthood and middle- and post-middle ages. It will be an outlook of a healthy population that deals with common situations of everyday life, with a period of their and their children´s maturity, with a choice of their first partner for life, with a departure of the partner and finally with their children´s leaving and arranging their own lives. My work will include some systematic procedures and casuistics among the selected clients. I will focuse on solving the common situations of everyday life in a Simulation studio together with an effort to approach a so called {\clqq}Healthy Rožnov Drawing``. The practical part will analyse the client´s work. In a conclusion I want to summarise my long-term activities with the above mentioned clients.
