(Beyond) borders of castellanship: who, why and with what limitations

The thesis aims to provide a holistic insight into the praxis of castellanship, with the focus on its role and objective under today's management by the National Heritage Institute (NHI). The theoretical chapters consist of origins and development of the profession, where we delve into the official documents of the NHI, as well as the perception of the general public. To create a whole view of the castellanship praxis aligned with our goal, we undergo a series of eight semi-scripted interviews with castellans. These interviews should reveal the precise description of the praxis in its current form. With this knowledge, we uncover a differentiation between the theoretical assumptions and the reality of the castellanship praxis inside the sites managed by the NHI. Through the interviews we then verify three separate research hypotheses, which aim to formalize the problems and hardships encountered in the castellan's work. In the last chapter, results of this research are interpretted with the focus on their practical application, along with their possible effects on future developments of the praxis of castellanship. Communication activities of National Heritage Institute in Central Bohemian Region in 2011 and 2012 bachelor thesis deals with description and analysis of marketing tools used in the field of monuments. First, it describes offer of monuments and then it focuses on the communication of institution which administers the castles - National Heritage Institute. The thesis explains basic marketing terms in connection with tourism and consequently describes their application in the process of promotion central-bohemian monument objects. Most analysed tools are online comunication and sales support. Great attention is dedicated to using historical places to film production and organizing of social events. The aim was also to find out visitor's view, so that the thesis includes results of questionnaire survey.

This bachelor thesis gives a theoretical and practical background of Public Relations of the National Heritage Institute. The National Heritage Institute is a state-sponsored body and it has its Headquarters in Prague and Regional Branches in individual regions. This thesis analyses the process of PR in NHI and its quality and effectivity. It also analysis the decentralization of the Public Relations and its role in regions.
Promotional portal of the sights

The theme of the work is an Internet promotion of the sights with a help of a functional Web portal. The work explores the possibilities of Internet marketing, the beginnings of the implementation of the portal and its sustainability in the coming years. Describes a method of benchmarking and analyzes its use in specific examples of similar databases in the world. In terms of funding the site, the work involves projects for grant application. The goal is to propose the conditions for creation and implementation of the promotional portal of the sights.
