Nette framework
Tölg, Jan ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Lukáš, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with an interesting Czech PHP framework called Nette. The first part of the thesis introduces the reader to general ideas, design patterns used in Nette and also describes the main properties of the framework. Goal of the second part is focused on real-life application demonstration of the framework while developing a web application. This thesis is not an instructional material, but helps to explain the main advantages of the framework and can thus offer a more detailed description in a comprehensive form to a prospective interested person.
Design and Implementation of an entertainment web portal
Lorenc, Ján ; Žamberský, Martin (advisor) ; Zimák, Radek (referee)
The work focuses on the design, development and implementation of a web entertainment portal. The main objective of this work is to create an application that will meet the required functionality using appropriate technologies. Defining the desired functionality as well as the selection of appropriate technology is part of corresponding chapters. As the selected and then used technology was chosen server-side programming language PHP in conjunction with the MySQL database system. The application is a web portal based on Zend framework application that is practical implementation of the MVC architecture. As the client-side programming language was chosen JavaScript, together with a freely available library jQuery that simplifies and streamlines work with the language. The thesis then describes the design data model, which forms the basis for future application. The following chapter describes the structure of each system and relations between them. The conclusion is devoted to consideration of whether the fulfillment of the objectives, benefits and work output.
Electronic Classbook
Jedlička, Jan ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Oraný, Vladimír (referee)
The subject of this diploma paper is the development of simple information system. This system is intended for elementary schools and high schools and it covers functionality of attendance evidence, study assessment evidence and assigning, submitting and evaluating of tasks. Design of the application is focused mainly on efficiency of application using and simplicity of control. Thesis contains the chapter about Groovy programming language and framework Grails, which is used as base for development of this application. This chapter may help as a userguide for developers, which are beginning in using of these technologies.
Presentation layer support in the frameworks
Kapčiar, Jan ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Gála, Libor (referee)
This master thesis deals with the presentation layer and its framework support for the web applications. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. First of all, the presentation layer is described; followed by the depiction of the particular basic technologies running within the web browsers. Communication with the server is one of the topics mentioned as well. The thesis analyzes the AJAX techniques and from a theoretical perspective focuses on the server part of the presentation layer by means of the design patterns. Afterwards, theoretical findings are analyzed with three different frameworks (Zend, PRADO, Nette) while the practical example shows all the options offered by each framework. The final conclusion summarizes the particular experiences observed. Therefore, the reader is expected to obtain information regarding the presentation layer from all the points of view. Moreover, the practical comparisons are provided in order to help the reader to choose an efficient framework for development.
Framework Spring
Bobkov, Pavel ; Mészáros, Jan (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to introduce reader to the Spring framework and describe it as a convenient tool for rapid application development and launching projects. It is necessary to grab the Spring issue in a broader context. That's why thesis is trying to note all the relevant technologies that are closely related to Spring, or which is Spring based on. The first step to understanding Spring is a basic knowledge of Java EE. Thesis presents the architecture of Java EE while arguing its flaws, which caused the emergence of today's very powerful word framework. Next part of the thesis brings reader through characteristic of frameworks for developing Web applications in Java (the largest group of frameworks), and make him familiar with MVC design pattern that forms the architecture of most web frameworks. Thesis leads to the description of the Spring framework accompanied by numerous examples of code that prove the theoretical knowledge of the reader. At the end of the theoretical part the Spring Web MVC framework is presented. The framework combines the key principles of Spring and MVC architecture. The practical part of the thesis makes a complete development cycle of real project. Development is carried out using the Waterfall model methodology. Project implementation is based on the knowledge of Spring / Spring MVC gained in the theoretical part.
Comparison of selected frameworks for web applications development in PHP
Křižan, Ondřej ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Burkoň, Lukáš (referee)
This work presents a comparison of several selected frameworks for developing Web applications in PHP. It includes analysis of key features and approaches of modern development frameworks which is important for understanding their functions. Brief description of each framework (CodeIgniter, Zend, Prado, Yii) precedes a thorough comparison. The comparison is based on defined criteria and examination whether and how a particular framework meets that criterion. Included commentary of implementation details of chosen properties introduces readers to the technical details of the solution. Work touches on questions of choice of an appropriate framework and presents its own evaluation of each selected framework.
Development of DMS module for digital advertising agency
Saktor, Marek ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Kapitán, Petr (referee)
This work documents the whole process of developing an information system for a small advertising agency. Its main sphere of business is the internet, hence the company is classified as a digital or interactive agency. My objectives are: analyzing business processes, assembling the functional specification and developing the core of the application and the module for a document management. I start with gathering some common parameters of DMS along with requirements for a web application framework, which is intended to use for a base of the intranet. Then I move to presenting specifics of our agency and I analyze its processes in order to capture all content and desired functionality of the developed system. Next phase is dedicated to design. First, I set the intranet in the context of global Enterprise architecture. I continue with modeling all architectural layers (conceptual, technological and implemental). The application is modular and benefits from using MVC architectural pattern. DMS module implements workflow functionality and I have used principles of Workflow Management Coalition to design that features. The last part of my work describes developed modules in more detail. My objectives were accomplished, core of the intranet is developed and currently in process of testing.
