Shared Memory Objects Library
Dudka, Kamil ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis considers problems of IPC (Inter Process Comunication) in modern operating systems. It is concentrated on usage of shared memory as IPC in object-oriented language C++. Thesis includes design and implementation of library, which provides easy end effective usage of shared memory. The library makes possible to share C++ language's objects between processes. Furthermore it creates platform-independent interface for work with shared memory on operating systems Linux and Microsoft Windows. Effectivity of shared memory usage as kind of ICP is evaluated in the conclusion of the thesis.
Texture-Based Object Recognition
Hutárek, Jiří ; Šilhavá, Jana (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis focuses on texture detection through the use of Local binary patterns (LBP). The LBP histogram extracted from the image is used as the texture feature and the image is classified by an artificial neural network. By using these methods, an universal texture detector is implemented, which is then specialized for the aerial image object recognition.
Tooth Detection on Jaw 3D Computer Polygonal Model
Hulík, Rostislav ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This document discusses a concept and implementation of algorithms for teeth detection on 3D polygonal jaw model. At first, I describe possible shape detection techniques on three dimensional computer model, including utilization just in my case. After it, I analyze filtration problems of obtained model segments in order to reliably separate regions of tooth-arch from the rest of jaw. I included all these pieces of knowledge into a final application. Here, it is possible to choose from two user interfaces, first, classic user interface which demonstrates possible utilization in real world and second, testing interface which demonstrates functions of each detection and filtration method used in program and their effect on detection. Application is written in C++ language in development environment of MS Visual Studio 2005 and compiled with MS VS internal compiler. Tested was under MS Windows XP and MS Windows Vista OS.
Single Pair Shortest Path on Surface
Mezera, Lukáš ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Šiler, Ondřej (advisor)
Finding the shortest path is a fundamental problem in computational geometry. Optimal solution is computation by force of Dijkstra algorithm. There are many approximation algorithms which we can use for calculate the shortest path.
Corners Detection in Images
Hýna, Petr ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Corner detection is important because of getting a subset of points from the set of all picture points. This subset is used for enquiry into relations of images. Searching of such relations is then less time and memory consuming. The text is about corner detection with focus on method Harris Stephens. The implementation is part of MDSTk and it is written in C/C++ with use of MDSTk's libraries.
Tooth Detection on Jaw 3D Computer Polygonal Model
Filip, Jan ; Šiler, Ondřej (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor thesis is a proposal and an implementation of a tool for the tooth detection on a 3D computer polygonal jaw model, which will allow to a user to obtain the shape of teeth on the jaw. This tool should to help in the stomatology. In the event of any inaccurary in the detection it will be possible to change certain parameters and methods, by which will be possible to influence the accuracy of detection. Program will import models in the STL format and subsequently will allow to the user to see the result of the detection in a browser. Teeth detection models will be possible to export single or together, in the STL format. The implementation language will be C++, compiler GNU C in distribution MinGW, toolkit to work with the 3D model will MDSTk and primarily its part VectorEntity. For imaging of thr 3D scene will be used OpenSceneGraph toolkit. Application will be developed primarily for MS Windows operating system but thanks to using GNU tools should be portable at the level of source codes to anothers operating systems.
