Linear prediciton and cepstral synthesis of speech signal in the TTS system
Mekyska, Jiří ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with a linear prediction and cepstral synthesis of speech signal in the TTS (Text-to-Speech) systems with the opportunity of modeling the prosody. The work contains a description of speech signal in acoustic and phonetic plane, the principle of speech production and the way we can figure the speech signal in time and frequency domain. Next, there is the TTS block structure mentioned, whereas each block has its own detailed description. In the work, the modeling of prosody using the three most important suprasegmental features (fundamental tone, continuation and speech intensity) is also described. At the end of this work, there is a design and realization of universal Czech TTS system which is based on the speech synthesis in frequency domain. This system is implemented in program MATLAB.
Emotional State Recognition Based on Speech Signal Analysis
Čermák, Jan ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the emotional states classification in the Matlab program, using neural networks and the classifier which is based on a combination of Gaussian density functions. It deals with the speech signal processing; the prosodic and spectral signs and the MFCC coefficients were extracted from the signal. The work also deals with the quality evaluation of individual signs of which the most suitable were chosen in order to provide the correct classification of emotional states. In order to identify the emotional states, two different methods were used. The first method of classification was the use of neural networks with differently selected parameters, and the second method was the use of the Gaussian mixture model (GMM). In both methods, a database of emotional utterances was divided into the training group and the test group. The testing was based on a method independent of the speaker. The work also includes the comparison of individual analyzed methods as well as the representation and comparison of the results. The conclusion comprises a proposition for the best parameters and the best classifier for the recognition of the speaker’s emotional state.
Automatic Recognition of Logopaedic Defect in Speech Utterances
Dušil, Lubomír ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis is aimed at an analysis and automatic detection of logopaedic defects in speech utterance. Its objective is to facilitate and accelerate the work of logopaedists and to increase percentage of detected logopaedic defects in children of the youngest possible age followed by the most successful treatment. It presents methods of speech work, classification of the defects within individual stages of child development and appropriate words for identification of the speech defects and their subsequent remedy. After that there are analyses of methods of calculating coefficients which reflect human speech best. Also classifiers which are used to discern and determine whether it is a speech defect or not. Classifiers exploit coefficients for their work. Coefficients and classifiers are being tested and their best combination is being looked for in order to achieve the highest possible success rate of the automatic detection of the speech defects. All the programming and testing jobs has been conducted in the Matlab programme.
Electronic noise temperature characteristics of piezoceramic sensors
Shromáždil, Petr ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Majzner, Jiří (advisor)
The main objective of the thesis „Electronic noise temperature dependence of piezoceramic sensors“ is to design the measuring set-up for the measurement of the piezoceramic sensor noise temperature dependence. The application for the control of the measurement process is realized. The theoretic chapter is focused on the properties of materials for the production of piezoceramic sensors. The basic effects related to the piezoceramic properties and the material structure is described in this part. Next chapter is focused on the technology of production of used piezoceramic. The properties of solid solutions as PbZrO3 – PbTiO3, and the non-destructive methods of the material testing are discussed. Our attention is concentrated to methods of acoustic emission. The next chapter is concerned on the realization of the measuring set-up and program equipment. The tested sample is the acoustic emission sensor made of piezoceramic material PCM-51. It is placed in the cylinder chest which is heated by the DC current source. The temperature measurement is realized by the data acquisition switch unit. The results of measurements are saved in PC and they are analyzed using MATLAB program. As a result we receive the frequency spectra of the electric noise voltage spectral density SU. The temperature dependencies of resonant peak value and frequency are determined from these spectra.

Pech, Vladislav ; Zaplatílek, Karel (referee) ; Biolek, Dalibor (advisor)
Project is focused on a problem of computer-aided analysis of circuits with external switching, starting from the theory of generalized transfer functions.
Simulation of dose distribution irradiation
Večeřa, Petr ; Hlaváč, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This project deals with the issue of simulation of dose irradiation. This principle is used in a radiotherapeutic device known as a Leksell Gamma Knife for the treatment of intracranial tumours. With regard to the theoretical observations obtained by studying this device, the project suggests the use of analytical geometry for the creation of a mathematical model for calculation of the intensity in the rayed area. A demonstration program Leksell_xvecer08 has been created for this model in a MatLab software background, which enables the user to change various input arguments and simulate a picture of the dosage spread in the target scanned areas.
Modelling in Engineering
Holec, Tomáš ; Rozehnalová, Petra (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the optimal parameters of pump impeller in order to minimize friction loss and disc loss. The proposal has been implemented by a mathematical model in Matlab. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The first four chapters summarize the theroretical background that is necessary for creating the mathematical model for the losses of an impeller. In the fifth chapter the implementation of the mathematical model in Matlab is presented and results for particular types of pumps are discussed.
Speech Recognition (digit)
Kantar, Martin ; Minář, Petr (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to explain what speech is and what are its constituents. I mention commonly used methods which are used for preparation of signals which we use for recognition. Schematic examples show principles of current recognizers of speech, their advantages and disadvantages. I made speech recognition program for 0-9 numerals in Matlab for neural nets learning.
Dynamic characteristics drive with frequency inverter
Loveček, Vladimír ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Voldán, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a proposal of measurement equipment and software equipment for evaluation of the dynamic characteristics of the drive controlled by frequency inverter, and with subsequent measurement and evaluation. Torque measurements are made using the incremental encoder and evaluated on the basis of mechanical characteristics by development environment MATLAB.
Creation of study supports for the subject "Computer simulations and engineering calculations"
FIKTUSOVÁ, Jana
This diploma thesis offers to the reader the basic overview of the most used methods of computer simulation and accessible software which can be used for this purpose. The aim of the thesis is not a detailed description of individual procedures, but rather a creation of overview text which can be used by the reader as a material for the primary orientation to the given problems. The thesis is outlined as a proposal of the themes of lectures of the subject ?Computer simulation and calculations in technology?. The thesis is divided into three thematic blocks. In the first block, the reader is acquainted with the programming language MATLAB, with its possibility of application in study as well as in practice. The second block acquaints with the CAD systems and the last block presents a nearer usage of individual software applications during the solution of selected model situations.
