Analysis of the activities selected by appropriate first-stance authorities of the forest administration with focus on decision-making process in a region of South Bohemia.

The paper deals with the activities of the first instance state administration of forests, which relates to the activities of the state forestry authorities relating to individual sections and paragraphs of the Forest Act. The analysed data are from three entities of the state forest administration, competent and relevant for the state administration of forests. A period of five years from 2011 till 2015 was selected for the analysis of a decision-making activity of the state forest administration body. The study also contains possible proposals for amendments to existing legislation in order to improve the current situation.
Forest and Hunting Law in the Czech Countries till the Year 1938

This thesis depicts the evolution of the relation of people to our forests and hunting till the year 1938. During the initial settlement of our country all members of tribes were free to hunt without regulations. Since the 11th century the wealthy aristocracy had their own hereditary woods and restricted the right of hunting animals. The first important step to protect our forests was taken by Charles IV but his legal regulation called Codex Carolinus wasn't approved because of the aristocracy opposition. The profitability of forestry began to be appreciated in the 15th and the 16th century. Many instructions regulating the protection of forests were issued in this period. The forests were in an alarming state, exhausted and without wood reserves till the 18th century. The forest law underwent the biggest development under the rule of Maria Terezia and Joseph II. The most important legal regulation in that period was the hunting rule from the year 1754. The biggest break in the development of hunting law was brought by the patent No. 54/1849 i. a. of the emperor Frank Joseph I. in 1849. The monarch cancelled the nobility's right of hunting in other people's holdings by means of this patent. Analysis of activities of the state forest administration first-stage authority with special regard to data and forest management records in relation to the exercise of state forest administration. In theoretical part of this paper is the summary of the history of forest economic records in our country, some examples from abrouad and legislation dealing with the issue of forest management evidence. Next are added new drafts of changes or amendments to existing legislation in order to improve the current situation. The application part consists of analysis of the activities of the first instance od a state forest administration in relation to the paraghraphs pf Forest Act. Data was analysed from six forests under the state governance, which are responsible for checking the forest economic records and state forest administration. The analysis of decision-making body was made through period of five years from 2008 to 2012 included.
