Kovářová, Lucie ; Kubíček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Drastík, Martin (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biophysics and Physical Chemistry Candidate: Lucie Kovářová Supervisor: Ing. Vladimír Kubíček, CSc. Title of Diploma Thesis: Multicomponent analysis This diploma thesis deals with the determination of concentrations of individual dyes in mixtures by multicomponent spectrophotometric analysis. The method was tested on selected dyes which were divided into two groups. The first group contains methyl orange, methyl red, orange II and phenol red. The second group consists of methylene blue, bromocresol green and thymol blue. Within each group mixtures were prepared containing combinations of two, three and four dyes in various ratio. Spectra of prepared mixtures were measured by diode array UV/VIS spectrophotometer. Absorbance values were read at wavelengths of absorption maxima of the individual dyes. Using the pseudoinverse matrix, concentration ratios of components were calculated from the absorbance values. The determination in determined and over determined systems was performed. On the basis of the results obtained by the method of analysis it is possible to determine the individual concentration of the multi-component dyes mixtures without prior separation. Keywords: spectrophotometry, multicomponent analysis,...
Determination of Lipophilicity of Drugs by HPLC
Pleváková, Magdaléna ; Kubíček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Nováková, Veronika (referee)
3 ABSTRACT Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of biophysics and physical chemistry Author: Magdaléna Pleváková Supervisor: Ing. Vladimír Kubíček, CSc. Thesis title: Determination of Lipophilicity of Drugs by HPLC In this thesis a RP-HPLC method for fast and reliable determination of lipophilicity was proposed and tested. Stationary phase was selected by using hydrophobic substraction model. Capacity factors of the chosen substances were initially measured on Zorbax ECLIPSE XDB C18 250x4,6 mm, 5µm column, which exhibits almost identical retention characteristics as the column used for this purpose until now. Then the capacity factors of the same substances were determined by using Zorbax ECLIPSE XDB-C18 50x4,6 mm, 1,8µm column that was selected to reduce retention times significantly. A group of newly synthesised drugs based on structure of pyrazine served as samples for the measurement. The reproducibility of the capacity factor values determined using both columns was compared and the independence of the capacity factor on the mobile phase flow was confirmed. The capacity factors of two homologous series and a group of benzimidazols were consequently determined on Zorbax ECLIPSE XDB-C18 50x4,6 mm, 1,8µm column using various compositions of mobile phases. The specifics of the placement of the selected medicaments in the hospital ward
JEREMIÁŠOVÁ, Lucie
Subject of the thesis "The specifics of the storage medicaments in the hospital department " was chosen for the fact that this issue applies to all hospitals as well as medical staff. The theoretical part is devoted to medicines and their forms , route of administration, general storage options and selected medicaments , information about them and the rules of their storage. The thesis should find out whether the hospital staff know how to treat with medication. This activity should be considered as a possibility of improving the quality of care in hospitals. The hospital staff must meet all the expectation and requirements which bring them a lot of complications. Also the new distributors of medicines , pharmaceutical companies, and everybody who is involved in the production and distribution of drugs complicate their situation. Neither of these people they do not facilitate their work , changes in the inscriptions , names and appearance of the packaging on medicines is one of the other complications in their work, but they must respect the laws and standards based on them. This thesis has two objectives. The first objective should be identified nurses' knowledge of specifics drugs. This objective is: " To determine whether the nurses know the specifics about saving medicaments in the hospital department. " This was determined by the research question : " What are the specifics of the selected medicaments on the ward? " In the second objective we wanted to map out how nurses obtain information about the storage of medications. This objective is: "Find out how nurses acquire information about saving medicaments in the department. " The research question is : " How do nurses get information about saving medicaments ?" The research is devoted to general nurses in the hospital in Jindřichův Hradec. Research assistance to be given to whether nurses have the correct information on how to store the medication and how information is gathered . Their work is not easy.
