Location of node real position on the Internet
Kopeček, Tomáš ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
In this thesis I focus on finding the position of computers on the Internet. This need for locating computers originated in the last several years through the creation of overlay networks. For this activity there are many algorithms. This paper describes the King method that estimated the distance between communicating stations by using the domain name system. The aim of this work is to verify the accuracy of the King method in experimental PlanetLab network. This network provides access for more than 1000 stations worldwide.
Localization of nodes in Internet using Lighthouses system
Smrčka, Lukáš ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the localization of stations in the Internet with the help of artificial coordinate systems. These systems can be used to estimate the delay value of RTT between individual stations. The estimated delay value can e.g. help the station to choose an optimal second station for communication between two stations without the necessity to measure these values, which reduces the load of the net. The first part of the thesis describes systems that predict the delay and explains how the methods Vivaldi, Kings, GNP and Lighthouses work. The next part of the work gives basic information about environment where the chosen method shall be implemented. The final part defines both the Lighthouses method and a program designed to be used in the experimental PlanetLab network and it also evaluates achieved accuracy of the estimation.
Localization of nodes in Internet using King system
Exler, Michal ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This thesis is focus on problematics of nodes localization in Internet. There are describe methods for prediction latency by using artificial coordinates systems and by using direct measurement. This thesis is primarily focus on method names King, which is estimates latency between arbitrary end hosts by using recursive DNS queries in system for translate domain name.
Chess Server
Bárczi, Viktor ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Jirák, Ota (advisor)
This work deals with the creating, and solving the problem of a chess server. It is about creating a chess server wherewith people can play chess through the Internet or a local network and also on a PC. In the real world the construction of the informational system resembles chess games between two players. According to the basic rules of chess the control of the right movements, the analysis of special movements like taking a figure and also rooking, projection and the analysis of checks and mates on the king are solved. During the game statistics of the movements are kept and after the end of the game the performance of the players are calculated by the virtue of record and statistics are kept about the gained ELO (rating) points.

Petra JEDINÁKOVÁ, CZECH LUXEMBOURGES IN FRENCH CONTEMPORARY HISTORIOGRAPHY, Prague, Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University in Prague 2012. The aim of this thesis is to consider the relationship of Czech Luxembourg dynasty towards the French dynasty and the impact of their policies in western Europe. The work also focuses on different ways of perception of the Luxembourgs in both Czech and French environment and reasons for such observations. The Luxembourg dynasty, being originally an earl family of the French from Luxembourg, always had a strong relation towards France and its ruling dynasty which was based on mutual respect, friendship, similar opinions and also family bonds, the successors were educated at the French court. The two countries supported each other in fight andalso by mutual contact, visits and in terms of diplomacy. We have testimonies regarding these events thanks to medieval sources such as chronicles, annals, documents, correspondence and texts of authors from the French environment, who personally met Czech kings from the House of Luxembourg and therefore left us important insights into the situation of that time. John of Luxembourg has been perceived in as a model of knightly virtues and a brave fighter always loyal to the French king. In Bohemia, he was for centuries...
Czech church duringthe reign of Premysl Otakar I.
Kudláček, Jaroslav ; Hrdlička, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Veverková, Kamila (referee)
This work deals with the person and period of Přemysl Otakar I and above all with the Bohemian church, which at this time was fighting for its independence. I attempt here to describe Přemysl's achievement of a great success in the form of the Golden Bull of Sicily. I also address the ecclesiastical struggle that Bishop Ondřej conducted with the king. This whole struggle between church and state culminated in great privileges issued to the church by Přemysl Otakar I. In this work I describe both these successes, ecclesiastical and statebuilding. I approach this struggle from the position of the church and from the position of the state and in conclusion I summarise the impact the result of this struggle had on the Bohemian church. The Ideal of Chivalrous Sovereign. The Case of Czech Medieval Alexandrian Epic
Rajterová, Petra ; Dvořáčková, Dana (advisor) ; Žemlička, Josef (referee)
My final thesis, based on study of primary and secondary sources, is focused on the idea of sovereign around 1300 AD. Old-Czech poem Alexandreida and German version Alexander of Ulrich von Etzenbach are used as primary repository of information. Thesis follows both of them and in their comparison shows, how the idea was formulated. Final thesis deals also with works of historians, literary historians and German studies related to its topic. The goal is not an linguistic analysis but to evaluate the poems as an historiographic source, on which we can study medieval notions of rulers and their role in society. Second main task for this final thesis is to reconstruct niveau of bohemian court surrounding King of Bohemia at the end of 13th century, where the poems were originally written. In the end, thesis describes so called "court culture" in the relation to both of Alexandrian poems and their influence in bohemia society.
