Computational Tool for Gas Flow Modeling through the Piston Assembly
Vitteková, Zuzana ; Dlugoš, Jozef (referee) ; Raffai, Peter (advisor)
The main topic of this bachelor’s thesis is to create a graphical users interface (GUI) in Matlab, facilitating the entry of input parameters for the calculation of the gas flow through the piston assembly and its evaluation. The first part is dedicated to the theory of piston rings followed by an introduction into the gas flow problematics. The second part concerns the procedure of creating the aforementioned GUI.
Proposal of Communication System in Company
Černá, Tereza ; Klech, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Robert (advisor)
Master´s thesis analyses modern methods of communication in company management. The objective is to discover out the crucial defects of this issue and to outline possible solutions which would improve the weaknesses – of internal communication. The master´s thesis consists of three parts: The theoretical part is concerned about communicational instruments which have been used by the operational company ČEPRO, a.s. The analytical part describes implementation of communicational instruments in the company. (external communication, internal communication, crisis communication and communication during the new product implementation) The proposal part recommends appropriate elements for efficient communication within the current communication system in the company.
MY CODE/WORLD
Franková, Anna ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Macháček, Mikuláš (advisor)
My Code/World is a personal artistic research of the environment in which I work as a programmer - not a physical environment, but the virtual environment of a computer interface. This research has been taking place since roughly October 2016 and its result is a collection of loosely connected pieces (sketches, experiments), that will be presented as an installation within the studio space of the Studio Graphic Design 2, Faculty of Fine Arts, BUT.
Administration of development documetation over WWW II
Gregárek, Ondřej ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
Document server is a web application controllable by way of web browser. It is meant to serve for the management of development documentation. The application is divided to the four basic parts: Requirements, Products, Tests and Test Run. The section Requirements serves for inserting requirements for products. Product is produced on the basis of these needs and registered in part Products. Test setting is created in the part Tests according to requirements from the part Requirements. Particular products are then tested. The part Test Run registers records of these tests. These are parts of the application: management of users, connecting supplements to records, printing and exportation of data to different formats, saving history of records, filtration and sorting of entries, etc. All the data is saved in the database MySQL. The application is written in scripting language PHP. Data is presented by template system Smarty. The output is in language XHTML. Cascading style CSS is used to formatting. This work describes development of the application. First it is dealing with the proposal of the database, connection and structure of particular tables. The function of the programme is explained in detail at the same time, which is essential for the correct proposal of the database. The application is based on the database. The selected structure of files and relations of scripts to library functions are shown. The template system and the interface for access of the programme to the database are explained. The most attention is paid to the description of solving important functions of the application, i.e. listing of records, their pagination, filtration, sorting and operation with them: saving, browsing, copying, confirmation and work with history, category and problems by upkeep of consistent tree and export of data to various formats. It is always outlined the problem, the idea of solving and the description of appropriate scripts. Samples of source code are also included for better understanding of complicated algorithms.
EX NIHILO NIHIL FIT (Nothing Originates of Nothing)
Hort, Leoš ; Šedivá, Barbora (referee) ; Guštar,, Milan (advisor)
Work about problematics of deconstruction and fractalisation of printed music information. The goal of this work is finding new artistic forms through combination of facts included within music notation on paper and its transformation into paper waste. The conclusion is a composition concept and working instruction offering the pictoral material and solo notation for grand piano at the end.
Proposal of the more effective working procedures using bar-code system in the distribution centre
Večeřa, Stanislav ; Harviščák, Roman (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis analyses the working procedures of the pharmaceutical distribution centre, describes actual problems, already used methods of communication and identification and shows the weaknesses of this system. The work clears up possible outgoings, trends in the field of the automatic identification and control and proposes the launching of usage bar-codes as a system solution. The thesis describes the new technology possibilities, continuing the current practice and proposes the update of the working procedures.
Automatic Identification Proposal in the Logistic Centre
Večeřa, Stanislav ; Harviščák, Roman (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
The master's thesis describes working procedures of the pharmaceutical warehousing and distribution, analyses actual methods of communication and identification and shows the weaknesses of this system. The work offers possible innovations, actual trends in the field of the automatic identification, warehouse management and proposes taking advantage of combination of voice recognition and bar-codes system. The thesis describes the new technology implementation, continuing the current practice and update of standard operating procedures.
Tree Code Decoding Methods
Zamazal, Zdeněk ; Lambertová, Petra (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with applying knowledge of data channel coding and concerns about possibilities of tree codes decoding. It describes several decoding methods and inquires their ins and outs. Basic knowledge of theory of information is necessary, it is presumed that reader is familiar with convolutional codes and coder definitions. Criterions for choosing decoding method are introduced and lightely described. A decoder is designed using method choosed by denoted criterions. Implementation of the decoder, using Matlab Simulink enviroment, has taken part in the thesis. Function of the decoder is verified in simulation.
Semiotics of Comics. Communication of text-image media.
Arndt, Tereza ; Fišerová, Michaela (advisor) ; Michalovič, Peter (referee) ; Bílek, Petr (referee)
Semiotics of Comics. Communication of text-image media. Abstract This dissertation thesis focuses on the ways in which comics transfer messages and what tools they use in a communication situation. The hypothesis of the work consists in the assumption that the comics in the process of communication works with specific and at the same time medially shared means. These procedures are viewed from a philosophical and empirical (artistic-scientific) point of view. Following the analysis of the way of handling certain types of signs within the framework of visual-text works of art, the concept of compon, which means composed placement of a figure, will be introduced and described. The large part of the work is devoted to this term and, in a broader sense, it also represents evidence of that paradoxical specific and shared style of communication of audiovisual media. Attention will be paid to the description of the comics code and principles that participate at various levels in the constitution of comics works, their form and the character of the narrative. The theoretical basis is represented by the works of Roland Barthes, Umberto Eco, Jurije Lotman, W. J. T. Mitchell and Hilary Chute. Keywords: comics, code, imagetext, compon, Yuri Lotman, comunication
