Kubička, Tomáš ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Marešová, Zdena (referee)
Development in computers has made a rapid progress recently. Using the Internet has become a common activity for a large number of people. As a result e-learning has been becoming an important part of our every-day lives. E-learning means a revolution in people's educatedness and social educational system. We can compare the importance of e-learning to the importance of typography in the past. Although education by means of printed professional literature is still more common, e-learning is spreading rapidly. It indicates its importance in the near future. E-learning represents a high potencial for both -- educateness in society and the firms that profit from it. I my thesis I concentrate on e-learning, various type of e.learning, description and subsequent description of educational portals which offers some support for computer learning in the Czech Republic.
Scientific Research Capacity and Innovation in the EU - Virtuality
Slavický, Marek ; Němcová, Ingeborg (advisor) ; Procházková Ilinitchi, Cristina (referee)
In today's globalizing world high-quality research and development is becoming an even more significant requirement for a competitive country. Modern communication technologies open up new possibilities of a simpler, cheaper and more effective long-distance cooperation between researchers. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide insight into the current state of scientific research in the EU and determine, how the new communication technologies are used on the level of the EU and its member states. Virtuality can be understood as any type of communication mediated by computers over information networks. The first chapter presents general characteristics of scientific research and shows how virtuality influences it. The second chapter describes the development of scientific research, current trends, institutions and programs in the EU and analyses the application of virtuality in scientific research in the EU. Similarly, the last chapter focuses on the state of virtuality and scientific research , but on the level of national states, specifically the Czech Republic.
Man, information and ICT: The developing of information society
Kastner, Pavel ; Rosický, Antonín (advisor) ; Sigmund, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis draws attention to two-way relationship between a man and information which significance is substantially increased with the development of so-called information society. First we define the basic concepts and approaches on this issue and then some issues that arise from the above mentioned relationship will be discussed. We will emphasize particularity of interpretation of information and influence of information on decisions and actions of man and possibilities of its misuse. In the end the attention will be paid to the information society as a whole and to its current and likely future developments. We will use, in the Czech literature rarely mentioned, evolutionary-cybernetic model of society.
ICT integretion in mergers and acquisitions
Sarnovský, Martin ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Toma, Roman (referee)
This thesis describes subject of mergers and acquisitions with aim on information and communication technologies integration process. The first part contains general mergers and acquisitions classification and definition as well as its market development over time period extended with practical experiences. Second part is about ICT integration issues in M&A process including attitudes of various literature authors and experts. The goal of the thesis is to theoretically specify the subject of mergers and acquisitions including valuation. In addition my goal is to synthetize knowledge and best practices in the process of ICT integration as well as in the merger process itself. Main contribution is to synthetize experience from past contracts and research the role of ICT in integration process. Main reason for it was that despite information age we live in, technological aspect in M&A is often underestimated aside from crucial impact which it has on success of whole process.
Word problems on the role of the primary school
ČÍHALOVÁ, Jiřina
The main object of my final work is creating worksheets for teaching ?Word problems? with the interactive whiteboard and using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) at a selected school. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The first part deals with the use of ICT and interactive whiteboards in teaching mathematics. I also mention the concept of a textbook, interactive textbook and my own comparing textbooks. The second part of my thesis contains a workbook I have prepared to my own support teaching on the interactive whiteboard this application and individual examples. Then I occupy myself with application worksheets in teaching pupils in the 9th year of primary school. In conclusion I gave results and of knowledge that I acquired during my teaching.
Network investigative activities in school instruction of spreadsheets
ŠIMANDL, Václav
The work is concerned with preparing exercises for the teaching of bulk data processing in the environment of a spreadsheet program. The exercises can be used in the lessons of ICT in the upper stage of the elementary school and in secondary schools. Presently a lot of exercises exist. These exercises are based on obsolete or uninteresting data or directly on artificial data. On the contrary there are few exercises which are based on up to date data or on data which the students entered. In the work there is an emphasis on the importance of creating exercises which are based on up to date data which is freely accessible on the Internet. For example geographical, economic or meteorological data. A software application which can download this data and transfer it into a suited format for further use in a spreadsheet program is a part of the work. We can note the benefit of using exercises, where data has been entered by the students of the class. A part of the work is a software solution which makes a survey possible for the teacher. The students answer the questions in the survey via a form. These answers are worked up into a table for further use in the lessons. An important part of the work is a set of methodical sheets. These sheets contain topics for exercises, which are specialized in bulk data processing. They show acceptable elaboration of downloaded or measured data and possible interpretation of the results. The main objective of the work is to show how and where to get up to date and attractive data for the teaching of bulk data processing and how to use it. The software and the methodical sheets should contribute to this.
Workbook proposal for teaching Mathematics at primary and secondary school, chosen chapters - The basics of statistics
POVJAKALOVÁ, Marie
The main object of my final work is creating worksheets for teaching mathematics unit {\clqq}The basics of statistics{\crqq} using the interactive whiteboard and a computer and to find out how interactive teaching helps in the comprehensive educational process. Information Technology in Reflection of Education on the 1st Level on Basic School
BATYSTOVÁ, Věra
Annotation This diploma thesis in its theoretical part sums up didactic approaches which serve as a starting point for designing teaching methods and suitable presentation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to primary school children. The thesis deals with the impact ICT has on the development of pupils´ personalities with regard to innovative educational processes which are now at work in our schools. The thesis wants to propose and prove possible and useful approaches to ICT teaching at primary schools based on research in the current state of ICT teaching and in the computer literacy of pupils and on teachers´ own ``best experience{\crqq}. The hypothesis was that pupils in ICT lessons are able to work in pairs effectively and that the one with better knowledge of computers can help and give advice to the less experienced one in the pair. In the practical part of the thesis computer literacy of pupils in second and third grades of primary schools is checked with help of a questionnaire. On the basis of selected didactic approaches and analysis of the questionnaire answers a dyadic teaching method was designed and proved in practice. The use of dyadic method is one of possible ways to reach optimal results in ICT teaching at primary schools. The thesis proposes a teaching plan for a third grade of primary school. This teaching plan, effectivity of which was checked in practice and the outcome analysed, can serve as an inspiration for beginning teachers and help them to design their teaching plans for ICT lessons or for employing ICT in other subjects.

The authors, concerned with the problems in their paper based on the data gathered by their own research, are focused on use of the telecommunication and information technologies specifically in relation to the inhabitants of small Moravian towns.
