Conservative Therapy Methods of Cervicobrachial Syndrome
Knolová, Kateřina ; Rybářová, Jana (advisor) ; Hamarová, Zuzana (referee)
The theoretical part of my bachelor's thesis is focused on the pathophysiology of functional and structural disorders in the cervical spine from the perspective of kinesiology, biomechanics and developmental kinesiology. Additionally, focuses on diagnostics and therapy methods. The practical part of the thesis comprises three case histories of patients with the same primary diagnosis, but different functional medical findings. The aim of this thesis is to compare different approaches to treating these patients.
Grips training supported by an occupational therapist using music therapy techniques
Zaňková, Veronika ; Gerlichová, Markéta (advisor) ; Čábelková, Alžběta (referee)
The bachelor thesis called Grips Training supported by an occupational therapist using music therapy techniques is divided into two parts - the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part deals with an introduction to the occupational therapy and music therapy, the music therapy techniques and their use in occupational therapy, upper extremity (discusses its importance, types and stages of handles) and basic information to the central paresis. The practical part processed 2 case reports of patients with quadriplegia after spinal injuries and overview of therapies, including photographs. The evaluation was performed based on observation and orientation testing. The aim is to determine whether music therapy techniques can be used to train grips.
Use of the thermoplastic splints for the upper limbs operation in ADL due to the limited activity of functional capabilities
Rejmanová, Alžběta ; Nováková, Olga (advisor) ; Svěcená, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis aims is designing and practical testing of "small splints" by patients which have limited functionc of upper extremities due to damage or malfunction. The proposed "small splints" are designed to facilitate the completion of certain procedures of pADL. "Small splints" are made from thermoplastic material, which is convinient for such purposes as regards the properties of ductility, variability and customization options. This bachelor thesis presents proposals of "small splints" for personal hygiene, specifically for a toothbrush and self - feeding, with selected objects: a glass, a cutlery knife, a fork and a spoon. The last "small splint" is intended to graphomotoric with a specific focus on stationery. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is based on the analysis of scientific literature and deals with general functions of the upper limbs and causes of limited functions, splinting and assistive technology options. The practical part contains the research methodology, my target and formulation of research question. Three patients with limited function of upper limb were involved in the project. These patiens tried splints over a period of time and "small splints" were modified according to their individual needs. According to the...
Biomechanical study on upper extremity fixation
Rafaj, Svatomír ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with fixation and biomechanical aspects of fractures of the upper limb. The first part of the thesis discusses anatomy, knowledge of which is necessary for effective fixation of fractures. It describes the history of inner fixation of fractures and modern curing methods of fractures with a focus on locking compression plates. The second part of the thesis discusses strain-stress analysis of assemblage of humerus and applied locking compression. Computational model was created with the support of ANSYS Workbench 16.0 and SOLIDWORKS 2016 software. Computation was executed by finite element method using ANSYS Workbench 16.0 computational systém.
Biomechanical study of the upper extremity plates
Linhart, Lukáš ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with the possibilities and principles of fixation of fractures of the upper limb. It is divided into five chapters. The introductory chapter discusses the biomechanics and its inclusion in contemporary science. The next chapter describes a brief history of healing and fixation of fractures of the upper limb. The third chapter is devoted to the anatomy of the upper limb, knowledge of which is the effective fixation of fractures of the upper extremity necessary. Another chapter is devoted to the classification and description of the type of osteosynthesis internal fixation of the upper limb. Furthermore, this chapter discusses the principles and mechanisms of LCP fixation. The last fifth point is detailed study of specific humeral locking plate. To create a computational model was used SolidWorks software and ANSYS Workbench.
Structural members of prostheses of upper extremities
Mužný, Lukáš ; Opl, Miroslav (referee) ; Matějka, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the upper limb prosthesis. The target of the project is to create an overview of the distribution and types of prostheses and their individual elements. In particular, it deals with the problem myoelctric prostheses. Provides information on the biomechanics of human arm, specifies options grip of the object, gives an overview of the research centers and their substitutes developed upper limbs. It also focuses on the possibility of prostheses control by myoelectric signals.
Special features of nursing care for the patients after fingers replantation.
KREBSOVÁ, Terezie
Abstract As a relatively high number of amputation injuries of fingers leading to subsequent replantation occur recently, and the nursing care about these patients is very specific in some spheres, I chose the topic ?specifics of nursing care for patients after replantation of fingers? for my bachelor thesis. As duly and professionally provided nursing care is very important and contributes to successful treatment and patient recovery to normal life after replantation I am convinced that it is necessary for nurses caring about the patients affected this way know the correct treatment principles. The goal of the thesis was to identify the specifics of nursing care for patients after finger replantation, and another goal was to find out how nurses cope with nursing care about patients after finger replantation. The research was based on combination of quantitative and qualitative methods and was focused on some fields of the care about these patients on one hand and on the fact whether nurses apply the nursing approach focused on patient needs on the other. The quantitative research was based on an anonymous questionnaire, the qualitative research on observation. The combination was chosen to enable comparison of theoretical knowledge of nurses with the practical activity. The research sample consisted of nurses from the accident and plastic surgery ward. Nurses from the standard treatment section, from the outpatient surgery and from the ICU were asked for cooperation. Hypothesis 1: Nurses know the principles of stump and amputate treatment ? was confirmed. Hypothesis: Nurses know the principles of nursing care about patients after finger replantation ? was confirmed. Hypothesis 3: Nurses plan the care process focused on patient needs after finger replantation ? was not confirmed. Question 1/ What problems do nurses have in providing nursing care for patients after finger replantation? Nurses do not have problems with providing nursing care for patients after finger replantation. Question 2/ To what extent do nurses caring about patients after finger replantation apply the nursing care process? Not all the nurses apply the nursing care process to the full extent. I found during working on the thesis that very few available materials intended for nurses existed on this topic. This is why a brochure including the principles of due nursing care for patients after finger replantation was issued upon the thesis for nurses caring for patients with this problem. A nursing standard, which is still unavailable, could also be elaborated.
