Mapping of ornamental historic rural gardens

The bachelor thesis deals with topic of mapping decorative historical country gardens. The work is written in form of literary research and is divided into chapters. The definition of terms related to the historical gardens, their protection, renovation and restoration, description of significant elements and woody plants, division into types and their development according to the style through the whole humankind era so far, are written in the bachelor thesis. Everything is accompanied by the historical and current photo-documentation for livier idea of the reader. The development of the gardens and parks is described further in case of the castle Dobříš and Hluboká nad Vltavou, where the history itself of both the castles is described.

Schwarzenbergs and forest in the second half of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century

The presented bachelor thesis deals with perception of the forest and the forest management on Schwarzenberg´s dominion Třeboň and Hluboká nad Vltavou during the second half of 17th century and the beginning of 18th century. It directs on the profession of the people, who took care of the forest, and cared about the forest cover and wild animals. The bachelor thesis pays attention on the structure of the wild animals, which were to be found in the forest of the respective dominions. Author also deals with the hunting of vermin and utility animals. Wood extraction and subsequent sale of the wood is also considered in the work. The relation between the first nobles of the Schwarzenberg, Jan Adolf, Ferdinand, and Adam František Schwarzenberg, forest and hunting of the wild animals is also considered.

The work drawn out hereunder, or more precisely, first part of it, will be applied to matters of country life in the era of early modern times, in the seventeenth century.At the beginning I would try to to make clear what should be understood under the expression "country man" and I will chart the structure of village as such. I would like to direct my attention to a single representatives of villages (parish priest, reeve, and others) and I will outline their roles. That will allow me to get better to describe the epitome of the rustic's family life, and differences between mentalities of rustics and dwellers, in this era. The way of perceiving the reality of the problems of life was so to great extent diferent, that I do consider it necessary to give it a special attention. I will also mention, shortly, rural wedding, and traditions and practices related to it. In the second part of my composition I would like to direct my attention to the ups and downs of the village people as well as of their indvidual fortunes that I would like to demonstrate on the individual cases in the community of Hosín, then also of the dominion of Hluboká, naturally during the era 1670-1680. The thesis "Proverbs a Series of Tapestries by Jacob Jordaens from the Castle Hluboká nad Vltavou" deals with a series of tapestries created from an artwork by the Flemish painter and designer of tapestries Jacob Jordaens. The aim of the thesis is to include historical context, and importace in schwarzenberg's collection which are part of and primary to write up pieces in detail with an emphasis on original artwork and update outdated literature, represented by studies from Jarmila Blažková. Inventarizace a zhodnocení dřevin v aleji kolem rybníka Naděje

This bachelor thesis was focused on inventory and assessment of trees at two locations in regional bio centre Naděje belonging to ÚSES near the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou. Each tree was evaluated in following aspects: species determination, measurement of denrometetric parameters, health and physiological vitality assessment. The thesis output is represented by a table with planned arboriculture interventions and their financial valuation. Furthermore, a map work at a scale of 1:500 was created and produced a list of inventoried trees position data was produced in WGS 84. The work also deals with the management of inventory areas as a whole

Archaeology in Přemysl Otakar II.'s castles in south Bohemia

Thesis contains summary of establishment and development of castles in Czech republic territory, emphasis is on royal seats in south Bohemia. Typology and history of Ottokar II.´s castles in region of south Bohemia will be presented. In analytic part will be general knowledge about extent of archeological researches and their contribution to history of these sights. Final part of thesis is dedicated to comparison material evidences (archeological) with sources.

Study of reconstruction of the historical granary in Hluboká nad Vltavou into an amusement park

The aim of this Diploma Thesis is the elaboration of a study concerning the project for the reconstruction of the historical building of a granary in Hluboká nad Vltavou into an amusement park. The theoretical base of the thesis deals with the importance of the tourism at the national and regional levels where the contemporary situation of the Southern Bohemian Region is described in a more detailed way. A part of the thesis includes selected examples of local and foreign case studies dealing with similar projects like the planned project of an amusement park and it also corresponds with the contemporary market trends. The main practical part of the thesis deals with the design of the reconstruction of the historical building of a granary in Hluboká nad Vltavou into an amusement park. The purpose of the thesis is not the procession of a realistic project including all parts thereof but a study offering the solutions how to use the building in connection with the strategic planning document of the town Hluboká nad Vltavou as well as the Southern Bohemian Region. The practical part includes the description of the project of the granary, including the design, basic economic analysis and possibilities of the marketing communication. The complex development of accompanying infrastructure of tourism in Hlubocko area

This thesis deals with the comprehensive development of accompanying infrastructure for sports and recreational activities. The aim is to analyze the supply and demand of tourism in Hlubocko area. An increased emphasis is placed on analysis accompanying infrastructure for leisure time activities. At the end of this work are presented a suggestions and recommendations on modernization of accompanying infrastructure to improve comfort, safety and technical standard of sports and recreational facilities in the investigated area. Furthermore is presented design of ideal tourism product with regard to the requirements and wishes of visitors, based on research and structured interviews.

Based on the Example of the Hluboká nad Vltavou Manor, Adam Franz of Schwarzenberg´s Residential Strategy at the Beginning of the 18th Century

The Thesis Based on the Example of the Hluboká nad Vltavou Manor, Adam Franz of Schwarzenberg´s Residential Strategy at the Beginning of the 18th Century deals with research of usage ways of the Hluboká nad Vltavou manor in the era of Adam Franz of Schwarzenberg. The core of the debate is the commentary on the three mansions demonstrably used by the aristocracy ? the Hluboká nad Vltavou castle, Ohrada hunting mansion, and Libníč spa complex. The study, built up on the analysis of correspodence, prime-source plan and accounting documents, has proved that the Hluboká nad Vltavou manor was the main Czech property of the family before inheriting Eggenberg´s property in 1719. Its importance, given among others by the geographical position, was emphasized by building of the Ohrada hunting mansion. This served, among others, as a storage of hunting tools that were demonstrably used in other South Bohemian manors as well. I consider extensive adjustments of the castle area as further evidence of the prominent status of the Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle; especially building of the votive chapel in the expanded Libníč spa that served to the inhabitants of all the concerned manors. After gaining Eggenber property, the centre of Schwarzenberg´s stays in South Bohemia moved to Český Krumlov; and the Hluboká mansion lost its priviliged status after Adam František of Schwarzenberg´s death.
