The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses

Bachelor thesis titled "The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses" is focused on exploration in the values of nurses working at the University Hospital Motol. The theoretical part of the paper gives a brief outline of the life values, issues of general value orientation and characteristics of individual groups of values. In the empirical part data were collected through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire contained questions relating to the issue or determining the preference of selected environmental values in relation to age, length of practice and education of nurses.
The research of primary school teachers

The aim of my work is to indicate some of the theoretical possibilities that have connections with values and value orientation and also my personal research of the specific group. The study sample is the group of primary teachers and also the students of pedagogical faculty of West Bohemia University in Pilsen, branch of study - primary teachers. The research was given in one year when only women were tested. The whole study sample has been compared with the population of women, with the students of pedagogical faculty and finally the teachers were compared among themselves. The questionnaire was used during the research. The respondents were asked to answer unitary and standard test for current czech population. The result of the research is description of the value structure and value preferences that were explored within the group. The results have showed the differences in value orientation among primary teachers and the group of current population of students of pedagogical faculty. The work does not put emphasis to give the coherent point of view on the theoretical knowledge of values. Despite the fact, the work can demonstrate the specific group of teachers, how do they differ from the current population and if their value orientation can influence their choice of teacher job. Value Orientation and Life Plans of Children and Youth with Behaviour Disorders

This thesis deals with the value orientation and life plans of children and adolescents who are placed into young offenders' institutions because of their behavioural disorders. The theoretical part elucidates basic conceptions related to values and value orientations. It applies to individual development, family issues and education, behavioural disorders and refers to the difficulty of education and re-education in school facilities for the practice of institutional and protective education. The empirical part is a combination of a quantitative and a qualitative research. The questionnaire survey was used to determine the value orientation, life goals, preferred leisure activities, some attitudes and information about clients from the young offenders' institutions. The questionnaires were handed over to respondents from the six children's homes with school and young offenders' institutions. The established values hierarchy and life goals were compared with the results of a similar research. The unstructured interviews with children ending the compulsory education were mainly focused on the choice of study and career orientation. The crisis of a present Czech family and effects of this crisis on the morality of children in younger school age

The bachelor thesis deals with the current family, defines its functions and describes its historical development. It focuses on the effects of the crisis of the contemporary family. This thesis describes morality and values and their role in a human life and factors affecting development of value systems, too. In the next part of the bachelor thesis, the most common manifestations of a risk behavior of children are mentioned. The last chapter is focuses on to finding relationship between contemporary family crisis and increased risk behavior of children. This thesis is based on a specially theoretical point of view of the scientific literature on this issue.
