Comparison of Czech and German principles of valuation financial investments

The bachelor thesis briefly introduces the historical background of the accounting system of the Czech Republic and Germany. It compares their evolution and impact of international accounting standards. In next part each item of securities and financial investments is characterized. The main goal of this work is to clarify the valuation process of financial investments in the Czech Republic, and to indicate differences from the German system. The work also includes the problem of hidden reserves and exchange rate differences.
German foreign policy and political realism

The thesis deals with one of the international relations theories - realism. It examines the presence of realism in discussions about the German foreign policy on the ground of the parliament of Germany. Key concepts of realism and liberalism are defined in the introduction. The aim is to evaluate the presence of the realistic rhethoric used by particular political parties. The situation is described on three cases of the German foreign policy - discussions about China, Georgia and Turkey. The thesis is based on stenographic protocols of parliamentary debates covering the proper period.

Comparison of attitudes of Germany to a minority issue (by way of the examples of Turks in Germany and German minority in Upper Silesia)

Since 1950s when the first influx of cheap labour force appeared the social situation changed rapidly. The original labour force managed to get over the denial of the majority society and administrative obstacles and turned into a permanent part, but not part and parcel of the German society. The German government trying to support economic growth decided to use foreign labour force as a less dangerous option for the future. The second option was to allow the admission of foreign capital investments. However, the project which should have been controlled by the migration policy and should enable the foreign workers to satisfy the demand of the German labour market has not met the expectations.
Mutual relations of the Czech Republic and Germany

The purpose of this paper is to describe and evaluate the development of mutual relations of the Czech Republic and Germany from the year 2004 to the present. The relations have long-lasting tradition and this state also belongs to the most important business partners of our country. The cohesion of the czech economy with the german one has a lot of positives but we can find some negative aspects. The last part of this paper is a small case study on the theme: "The firms in Benešovsko" which describes selected firms and above all their cooperation with Germany.
Investment climate of Germany

The thesis is divided into five basic sections. The first one deals with brief characteristic of German economy and with different development in the FRG and GDR after the Second World War. The second chapter focuses on constituent elements of German investment climate, which are evaluated on the basis of PEST analysis. In the following part I deal with a system of investment incentives in Germany and with legislation which is related to it. In the fourth section an investment climate of eastern and western Germany are compared. The last chapter focuses on a flow of FDI to the FRG.

German Diplomatic Relations during the Weimar Republic

The topic of this thesis is the German position in international relations after the World War I and its development during the postwar years till Hitler's seizure of power. The text follows diplomatic activities of the defeated world-power from the Paris Peace Conference and deals with all key happenings at that time. It also points out the main German steps to the emancipation after being forced to bear the responsibility for starting the war. This thesis analyses fundamental issues of the twenties and early thirties within the German context including the reparations or the main security issues.

At the beginning of the work the autor describes briefly the development of czech foreign-trade policy after year 1989 and the preparations of the Czech Republic for enter to the EU. The work is mainly focused on territorial and commodity structure of foreign trade of the Czech Republic and on analysis of trade relations between the Czech Republic and Germany and the Czech Republic and France.
Social security in selected countries of the EU

The bachelor thesis "Social security in selected countries of the European Union" dissert on so-called "welfare states", how are nowadays called developed countries in regard of their approach to social policy. According to the typology of Esping-Andersen are these welfare states classified into three following types: liberal, social-democratic and conservative. One representative had been chosen to each of these types: liberal model is represented by Great Britain, Finland represents social-democratic model and Germany became a representative of conservative model. Sections 3-5 contain detailed characteristic of social security in Great Britain, Finland and Germany and its comparison.
