The designed device was realized and in the end it was tested and the results were discussed.
Back-up power supply 230V/50Hz/300VA with a battery supply 12V
Snítilý, David ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this project is to describe, design and create a converter from 12V DC to 230 VRMS. The power of this device is about 500W. The device consists of two main converters. The first one is step-up DC/DC converter and the other is DC/AC inverter. Step-up converter is designed as a resonant converter. It is useful for pushing down losses in semiconductors and inceasing efficiency. The inverter is changing DC voltage from the first converter to AC voltage. Control of this device is realized with DSP Motorola. This device should be used mainly for supply common devices up to 500W. Main usage is planed in a car or to another place where is not posible to connect some device to plug.
Methods of acoustic signal sources impedance matching for their further processing
Havelková, Nikola ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to get acquainted with the theoretical areas related to the issue of impedance matching using the so-called DI boxes. It is mainly the theory of balanced and unbalanced signal, parameters typical for DI boxes (THD, impedance, bandwidth, dynamic range, etc.), knowledge about the transformer, respectively about the coils, or last but not least the issue of operational amplifiers, which is for designing of active DI box absolutely essential. The specifications of the designed DI box based on this theory are subsequently determined and compared with commercially available models. The main target is to achieve better figures or at least get closer to them. Furthermore, the circuit diagram is designed and optimized to achieve predetermined parameters using simulation in the Multisim program from National Instruments. Regarding the resulting specifications of the DI box, a printed circuit board is designed to build a prototype of the device. After its completion, a test gauging using APx525 is done and the results are compared to the target figures.
Six-channel audio preamplifier with common volume control
Spilka, Benedikt ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and to construct a low-frequency six-channel preamplifier with remote and local control and with symetric and line input for up DPA223 low-frequency amplifier. The preamplifiers must have galvanic separation together. Its gain/amplification must be remote controllable from mute to 0dB and locally from 0dB to -20dB. Low distortion, noise and other parameters monitored in audio technics are important for the design.
High power traction converters
Žižka, Pavel ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This master thesis is based on realization of the previous university project, design of locomotive reconstruction and solving accompanying problems. In this thesis there are described all parts of a converter. The end of thesis involved theory about driver circuits of power transistors IGBT. Nowadays is still more often to think about reconstruction of the old technology rather than design a complete new construction. Investors take this decision from the financial reasons and because to the old technology designer can add only the converter. In this instant we talk about electrical locomotive, there should be kept a supply transformer and a driving unit (DC engine). The aim of this thesis is to design the converter between these two basic parts. The converter must taking the quasi-sinusoidal current which is in the phase with the input voltage, also must be able to control the engine and recuperate energy back to the network. For realization of these conditions, the converter must contain the active rectifier working in the DC-link and from which the step-down DC/DC converter is fed. Converter output is connected to the driving unit. The digital control of the power transistors is provided by processor MOTOROLA DSP56F. The control impulses, switching the power transistors, go through the driver circuits to transistors. All problems are described in the following text.
Induction heating for small applications
Hrbáč, Lukáš ; Foral, Štěpán (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis covers the topic of induction heat and possible solutions for small applications. There is theoretical knowledge needed for design of an induction device and also principles of induction heat. In the thesis, there is described resonant circuit, which is the main part of induction heating device. Furthermore, usual interpretations of driver and power circuits are analyzed. This work describes different ways how to adjust operating frequency to achieve better results. This thesis also includes verification of functionality of such a device, measurement of operating parameters and efficiency. Instructions for laboratory exercise dealing with induction device are attached in the appendix.

Data acquisition modules
Štreit, Zdeněk ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s study focuses on design, realization and practical measurement of galvanic isolation temperature transmitter’s accuracy for the Pt 100 platinum resistance temperature detector. The beginning of the study describes the kinds of sensors for resistance temperature measurement, their division and charecteristics, whereby the stress is put on platinum resistance temperature detectors. The other part of this bachelor’s study depicts methods of connecting the platinum detector to a measuring circuit and evaluation of such a signal. It contains options of further processing of the measured signal using either various connections of operating amplifiers or specialised circuits. Issues with evaluation of the platinum detector’s signals as compensation of an input conductors‘ resistance and linearization of a platinum detector‘s course are solved. The following chapter introduces causes of galvanic isolation in a measurement chain and its principle. Electronic components and circuits that ensure the galvanic isolation are also discussed. The final part the this bachelor’s study is devoted to my practical proposal of a circuit solution for the platinum detector’s with galvanic isolation transmitter. It describes my proposed design of the transmitter’s input part, possibility of the Pt 100 detector’s linearization and galvanic isolation using a linear optocoupler. The transmitter was measured at several surrounding temperatures and the results were processed into tables and charts that are presented in an appendix to this study. This bachelor’s study goal was met as I have managed to produce the temperature transmitter according to the request. The worsened accuracy of the output voltage at temperatures lower or higher than +20°C can be eliminated by using resistors with lower temperature coefficient in a measurement bridge.
