Analysis of powertrain systems of forestry machines, taking into account the possibilities of hybridization

This bachelor’s thesis analyses the drive systems of forestry machines and their hybridization. The used electro-hybrid systems in forestry are discussed together with their basic components. Forestry machinery is divide into: skidders, harvesters, forwarders, forwarding trailers and cable yarders. In each subsection the conventional and electro-hybrid systems that are used or have been used are discussed in detail, together with schematic drawings. In comparison, reduction of consumed fuel and emission is pointed out, which can lead to a reduction not only of the price of harvested wood, but also to an improvement of the climate situation. Hybrid systems have many advantages, but they also have weaknesses wich are pointed out at the end of the work.

This bachelor's thesis contains a research analysis of drive systems of forest machines of harvester technology. At the beginning, harvester technology machines and their functions are described. The next chapters deal with the drive systems of these machines. The main topic is hybrid drive systems, which are divided into individual categories in this work, and diagrams of drive systems of specific harvester technology machines are created and described.

The design of a mobile wheeled chassis

This thesis is concerned with designing the construction of a mobile wheeled chassis for transport machinery to specifically forwarder. The proposed construction is modeled in Autodesk Inventor . The proposed solution is checked by analytically functional computation and control by strength calculation too . On the basis of the proposed construction design is created drawing documentation , which include selected parts of the chassis .

This bachelor thesis is focused on using different types of caterpillar tracks with effort to minimize pressure of vehicle on forest land and keep the required speed and traction. The fractionation of undercarriage and evaluate of their abilities is provided in this work. After that, the process of deploying tracks and process of tensioning tracks is described. In the end the conceptual design of undercarriage is conducted

Handling equipment for forestry

This bachelor thesis is focused on a research treatise on a forest fleet. The beginning of the work outlines the historical development of machines in the woodworking industry, it also deals with harvesters and their individual division according to specifications. The work also focuses on important parts of the harvester such as the hydraulic crane and harvester head. In the same spirit of comparison and division, export tractors are developed in the work. The chapter of the last work summarizes wheel loaders and their use in the woodworking industry. At the end of the thesis, the individual goals and outputs of the bachelor's thesis are evaluated.
