Petra Sládková Ph.D. Title of the diploma thesis: Importance of a Subjective Assessment of Patients' quality of Life after Acquired Brain Injury, WHODAS 2.0 Questionnaire Abstract: The diploma thesis deals with the quality of life with people after acquired brain injury. Brain injury is a common cause of disability in the adult population. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the quality of life with people after acquired brain injury changes depending on the attendance of a day care centre. Furthermore, the aim is to determine if there is a correlation between subjective WHODAS 2.0 and objektive FIM data. The theoretical part describes the acquired brain injury, its types and consequences and the subsequent rehabilitation. It also focuses on the quality of life and the possibilities of its assessment using different tools. The WHODAS 2.0 questionnaire is introduced and its clinical use is described. The practical part focuses on the methodology, objectives, hypotheses and research set. The research population consists of 21 patients who attended a rehabilitation day care centre for 4 weeks. Kateřina Svěcená, Ph.D. Title of master thesis: Utilization of Functional Independence Measure and Functional Assessment Measure on acute inpatient rehabilitation unit with brain damage patients Abstract: This master thesis focuses on the utilization of Functional Independence Measure and Functional Assessment Measure (FIM+FAMUK ). The subject of interest is the use of FIM+FAMUK in an acute phase of rehabilitation in brain damaged patients. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate the usefulness of FIM+FAMUK as an assessment of functional status on an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Theoretical part provides basic information on the system of cerebrovascular care in Czech republic, on the importance of assessing functional status in neurorehabilitation and on some other assessments of disability in neurorehabilitation besides FIM+FAMUK . It also brings insight into FIM+FAMUK , its items, evaluation process and its utilization. Practical part presents the results of a clinical application of FIM+FAMUK on a stroke unit. Fifteen people were assessed with FIM+FAMUK as input and output assessment. Clinical utility of Rivermead Behavioral Memory Test in Patients after Brain Damage

OF DIPLOMA THESIS Title of diploma thesis: Clinical Utility of Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test in Patients after Brain Damage Objective: The main goal of this diploma thesis was to monitor the relationship between memory functions measured by the Rivermead Behavioral Memory Test (RBMT-3) and their subsequent influence on occupational performance in ADL (pADL) in patients after brain damage. The partial objective was to determine whether self-sufficiency in ADL can be predicted from RBMT-3 results. The last partial goal was to create a working version of the RBMT-3 and translate it from the original English version. Methods: The research group consisted of 40 probands (22 males and 18 females) after brain damage. For data collection, the Rivermead Behavioral Memory Test (RBMT-3) for assessing the memory function level was used. FIM (version 5.2) was used for evaluating the level of occupational performance in ADL (pADL). Hypothesis verification was performed by correlation analysis and corrected Spearman's correlation coefficient and p-values. For this pre- research, the level of significance α1 < 0.05 and α2 < 0.01 was chosen.
