Vehicles for Rally Competition
Nebus, Martin ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
One of the goals of this bachelor thesis is to create an overview of categories of vehicles designed for rally racing. Each category differs in the number of technical modifications permitted and the rules that the vehicle must comply with in that category. The thesis contains a description of available internationally approved vehicles and a statistical overview. It deals with the percentage participation of individual categories in national and international championships in the recent period. Based on this, an evaluation of the rally vehicle market is created, intended mainly for potential new manufacturers.
Overview of Rally Racing Vehicles
Listoň, Martin ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on compiling an overview of race cars for rally car competitions at the national and international level and the division of vehicles into specific categories. Subsequently, the technical modifications of vehicles of individual categories are briefly described. Furthermore, the representation of individual manufacturers and their market share is summarized. The next part is a statistical overview of vehicles in terms of age and modern technology. The aim of this work is to analyze the market and find out in which potential production area a new producer could succeed.

Design of R1-Class Racing Car
Bureš, David ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a conceptual design of a rally car in Ra5 (former R1) category. The thesis contains interpretation of regulations, overview of former cars in this category and requirements for such vehicle. The thesis describes choice of vehicle and description of modifications, including specific components. The thesis also describes construction of several designs of rollcage, which were mutually compared, and their homologation tests. The thesis also determines small series price of such vehicle.
Modification of carbon felt detector with copper microparticles
Baroch, Martin ; Dejmková, Hana (advisor) ; Schwarzová, Karolina (referee)
The first aim of this work was to develop copper modified carbon felt electrode for detection of amino acids, which are not electrochemically active on ordinary carbon electrodes. Phenylalanine solution at a concentration 1.0 mmol dm-3 was chosen as the testing solution. Electrode modified with electrochemical deposition of copper from mixture of copper(II) sulphate and sodium sulphate provided very low responses which were decreasing during first measurements, apparently because of insufficient amount of copper. Therefore, further experiments were performed using copper microparticles as a modifier. Copper microparticles activated in nitric acid at a concentration 80 mmol dm-3 were applied at carbon felt by several techniques and in different parts of the felt, i.e. by stirring the felt in microparticles suspension, by dripping of the suspension to the part of the felt in contact with capillary (proximal), between two parts of the carbon felt (sandwich) and at a part of the carbon felt in contact with electrolyte in a measuring cell (distal). Electrodes modified in the distal and in the sandwich arrangement were chosen as the best ones. In the last part, calibration dependences for phenylalanine in concentration range from 0.025 mmol dm-3 to 1.0 mmol dm-3 were measured on the last two electrodes....
Development of Formula 1 cars
Šopík, Lukáš ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with development of Formula One cars from the begging of the Formula One Worlds Driver´s Championship and describes the first twenty years of this development. This period is characteristic as the replacement of the pre-war cars with engine in front for the cars with engine behind the driver, which is typical for nowadays Formula One. There are description of main construction components and their subgroups, which had been improved by using new materials and technologies.
Class Super 2000 Rally Cars
Ratiborský, Pavel ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is divided into three points. The first section is divided into the basic design elements of the Super 2000 cars and briefly describes their function. In the second section is a call for representatives of this class, described the design and comparison with a standard car. The last point is outlined the possible future development.
Class Super 1600 Rally Cars
Veselka, Michal ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis contains survey and description of separate constructional unit of automobiles which belong to the category of Super 1600, and these are determinate for the participation in championship JWRC. Thesis also compares the technique of competition and standard automobiles. Further, particular representatives of this category are mentioned. Finally, the estimated development of automobiles Super 1600 and also progression of junior championship is described.
Rallye Championships and Used Engineering Including WRC Series
Novák, Pavel ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The content of the bachelor thesis is an overview of the current condition of technics used in the car racing competitions focused on the WRC serial. The thesis is diveded into five parts. The first part introduces the contemporary car competitions and FIA federation. The second part is focused on specification of the WRC cars. The third part familiarizes with the organization process of the WRC championship. There are introduced crews with their teams and their results in the constructor cup. The main attention is given to the parts four and five which deal with the contemporary engineering used in WRC and the development trends in this field. There are given methods of virtual designing, computer simulation and testing. In the conclusion of the thesis there are mentioned examples of WRC car development and solutions assumed for the serial cars from the WRC technics.
