Cryptographic schemes implementation on small FPGA platforms

The objective of the bachelor thesis is to implement the AES-GCM encryption algorithm on a Nexys A7-100T FPGA board. It introduces the issues of cryptography and authentication in data transmission as well as describes the FPGA technology. The implementation has been done in VHDL, as a hardware description language. It analyses the project provided by the Institute of Telecommunications of Brno University of Technology, which is intended to be modified to achieve the stated goal. In the practical part, it discusses the modifications made and the tests that verified the functionality of the implementation. It compares resource utilization with the original project as a tool to better understand the impact of the modifications made. This work is also compared with existing AES-GCM solutions. Finally, suggestions are given for further modifications that could be made to achieve lower goals.

Influence of Vehicle Conception on Vehicle Dynamics

Diploma thesis speaks about the influence of vehicle conception on vehicle dynamics, which means how a vehicle behaves in certain typical situations with respect to its driving axle. The first part of this diploma thesis describes the historical background of vehicles, as well as their conceptions and evolutions, with special focus on the conceptions used in the practical element of this work. The second part of this thesis covers the theoretical knowledge of vehicle dynamics and is arranged in a systematic order corresponding to the third section of this work. The third and final chapter then investigates various vehicle conceptions and their dynamics, by running several tests and measurements, in order to make a comparison. This comparison is the main purpose of this work, and from this we can then elucidate which conception, in a certain aspect, is practically more appropriate.

The applicability of the Chilean pension system in the Czech Republic

The Chilean pension reform has been an experiment of great success. Futhermore, thanks to it the current pensions are much higher than they would have been under the old Pay-As-You-Go system. Considering this, I decided to analyze the possible applicability of the Chilean pension system in the Czech environment. In the present diploma thesis I do analyze the potential results (replacement ratio) of the introduction of a fully funded system in the Czech Republic, in comperison with the replacement ratio of the current Czech PAYG system and the modificated Czech PAYG system that would not genarate deficits (through the reduction of pensions) and keep the retirement age same for all variants for the reason of objective comparison. Later, I do analyze the impact to the state budget of the transition to a fully funded system and discuss the advantages of a such transition. The main conclusion of this diploma thesis justifies that the transition to a fully funded system in the Czech Republic is not recommendatory, due to the fact that it requires high state budget funding and there is a great unlikelihood of benefits for all income groups in general.
