This thesis analyses the current Czech energy sector. It describes its current state and outlines possible scenarios of its development in future years in the context of the energy transformation. The thesis seeks to analyse the current situation of the energy sector in the country, assess its strengths and weaknesses and identify opportunities and threats for future development. The thesis describes the different parts of the Czech energy sector, such as the electricity, gas, heating and oil industries, including production sources, consumption and emissions. Most emphasis is given to the electricity sector. The capacities and potentials of the different sectors are analysed alongside the possible future scenarios outlined. Part of the thesis is also focused on describing and explaining the composition and construction of electricity and gas prices in the Czech Republic. Emphasis is also placed on placing the Czech energy sector in the broader context of the energy sectors of European countries and includes various scenarios for the development of the electricity sector in Europe. In the context of the current geopolitical situation in Europe and the modernisation and transformation of this sector, it is necessary to build new energy sources.

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the cost of a house in the area of peripheral constructions and the effect of thermal insulation on energy consumption for heating and hot water. The theoretical part generally defines renewable energy sources, heat sources, thermal transmissions and structural losses, basics of valuation of construction works and supplies and overview of state subsidies. In the practical part are proposed composition of peripheral constructions, calculation of heat transfer coefficient of all designed perimeter structures and their subsequent evaluation. Furthermore, there is an estimated annual energy demand for heating and hot water and annual electricity consumption in the household. At the end of diploma thesis is a proposal of suitable energy sources and calculation of the return on investment in these sources.
Project of the photovoltaic system
Ševčíková, Kateřina ; Půčková, Helena (referee) ; Kotlík, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with elaboration of project solar thermal and photovoltaic solar systems for all-season service. The theoretical part focuses on the general description of the solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, legislation of renewable sources in the Czech Republic and the status of photovoltaics in the Czech Republic. The experimental part deals with the design of measures for energy saving by using solar energy systems. These measures are proposed for construction of houses in Podolí u Brna, especially on extra-family house. The aim of the work is to make a proportioning, choosing the right parts and calculating the economic and ecologic balance. Finally, thesis gives recommendations for further action in saving energy in houses in Podolí u Brna.
Impact of the architectural concept on the energy consumption of heating of the energy-saving residential buildings
Křeček, David ; Hudec, Mojmír (referee) ; Vaverka, Jiří (referee) ; Ing.arch.Lorant Krajcsovics,PhD. (referee) ; Chybík, Josef (advisor)
Human efforts to increase their comfort rise in density of population in congested city areas, rapid growth of traffic and electric smog created due to constantly transforming communication technologies all resulted in an increase of stress in the immediate human environment. All of this, along with frequent reports about changes in global climate, gradually contributes to an alteration of thinking of the whole society, which is forced to face the consequences of economic damages caused by climatic changes. If we want to tenably assert adequate economic and social living conditions, we have to approach the natural environment in a more profound way. In accordance with the trend of substantional development for the purpose of enhancement of the quality of the living environment in the field of building industry, it is logical to concentrate on buildings, which are conceptually focused on saving of the energy. That is on energy-efficient houses. Pathway to sustainable building is not based on discovering one or several multipurpose technological solutions, but on usage of new designing principles, new materials and methods of processing them as well as new techniques of construction. For an effective creation of a building concept it is essential to have that kind of device which quickly responds to changes performed on a design, enables an easier work on variants and produces the most accurate results. Consistent application of energy optimizing methods is necessary particularly for designs of energy saving houses. Beginning efficient building design is the most “abstract factor of concept linked with very uncertain inputs,” because a lot of parameters in that moment is still unknown. Many mutually connected factors are invoked during designing passive house e.g. trajectory of the sun and the shielding effect of the surroundings, the aspect of sunlight and interior lighting, power quality construction, etc. Currently, the architect has no choice, he can use only well-known precepts, such as large windows are facing the South not the North. Unfortunately this "empirical formula" for the design of a real passive house is not enough. And yet the first draft of the house is most affected by not only its shape, form, but user´s comfortable, cost, feasibility and future energy behavior of buildings and related operating costs of the house too. It is obvious that this stage should not be underestimated, because “minor variation of the initial inputs greatly influence the outcomes.” With this reasoning, the work focuses on early stage design decision, i.e. the architectural concept of a passive house (an idea, vision). Therefore the aim of this work is to simplify the issue into understandable form, i.e. the creation of relatively simple and illustrative sketches, which generalize the issue satisfactorily, show the individual parameters (glazing, shading, shape, size, etc.) and change need of heat for heating passive house. The results of the work will be useful when the architect picks up the pencil and starts to think about his future house. At this point, he will have on hand sketches, which give him an idea and streamline his further design. Therefore the main goal is to create new outcomes and identify energy behaviour of buildings with a computational tool. This research works with virtual idealized mathematical model in the software PHPP 2007 CZ and uses "phenomenon" of parametric equations and sensitivity analysis.
Energy usage of beer production
Maťa, Jakub ; Tuhovčák, Ján (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of energy consumption of beer production. The first part focuses on the technology of beer production itself, the understanding of which is a key prerequisite for assessing the possibility of using a heat pump for this process. The main part then describes the individual processes and their energy consumption. Finally, it evaluates the use of a heat pump and shows if it could reduce the energy requirements of beer production.

This thesis is focused on the issue of financing the revitalization of prefabricated houses through loan products.
Economic and Technical Analysis of the Photovoltaic Facade System
Bónová, Kateřina ; Žák,, Antonín (referee) ; Hlavinková, Vítězslava (advisor)
This thesis comprehensively analyses photovoltaic power plants on facades both from economic and technical point of view. It also devotes to a broader view upon a photovoltaic power plants regarding their placement, its accessories and legislative. The thesis describes a calculation of energetic gains in details including evaluation of five solar radiation sources in order to assess energetic effectivity of the photovoltaic equipment. Furthermore, the thesis describes a means of determination of photovoltaic revenues which is closely related to its ability to sustain the energetic demand of the building. These calculations are presented in the conclusion of thesis where they are applied to four selected buildings. The thesis also contains a processed graph due to which it is possible to specify optimal size of photovoltaic facade. The size is depending on selected facade cardinal point orientation and also on floor area of the building, which serves to estimate future electricity consumption.
Heat pump heating for a house
Loibl, Jan ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (referee) ; Nerud, Pavel (advisor)
The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with introducing to the issue of heat pump systems. The functioning principle of the most widely used heat pump type is explained here as well as its coeficient of performance, its operational modes and fundamental components. In addition, possible ways of heat pump systems application in terms of obtaining lowpotential heat are introduced. In the practical part the calculation of thermal loss of selected family house is discussed together with the calculation of heat requirements for heating and domestic hot water. The following part focuses on the selection of the most appropriate type of heat pump systems for covering heat demands of the selected house. The final part poses economical assesment of the designed heat pump system including the calculation of investment recovery.
