Strategic development of the territory in the context of EU policy

The bachelor thesis deals with territorial development in the context of EU policy. The subject of the theoretical part of the thesis is the sphere of investment and their financing, management of municipalities, EU policy and subsidy programs in the period 2014 – 2020. The practical part analysis the investment in the reconstruction of the transport terminal in the town Holešov. It also includes alternatives to investment financing. Finally, an effect of the investment on the development of the territory is summarized.

While Europe has been a leader in producing legislation encompassing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies, many critics have called for more vigorous legislation to support the efforts and goals of permissibility within the European Union. The new AI Act will be the first legislation written by the European Commission specifically directed at AI, with a goal of addressing both the risks and benefits through a human-centric approach to the technology. Southern Europe and regional policy

The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse European policy of economic and social cohesion in the southern states of the European Union. The import of regional policy consists in the strengthening of cohesion through the diminution of existing differences in socioeconomic level between EU member states and theirs regions. Significantly high budget item assigned to the regional policy on the European level affirms its importance. States of the southern Europe (Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece) gained long-standing experience in the implementation of the cohesion policy, therefore they are suitable for the evaluation of the effectiveness. The thesis seeks to deliver potential recommendations for the effectiveness improvement on the national as well as on the European level.
