Multisensor Module for Raspberry Pi Zero
Kažimír, Miroslav ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with the issue of distributed control systems in home automation. It focuses on open systems and the possibilities of expanding them with new devices with sufficiently universal use. The solution lies in the design of multi-sensor devices that would cover several functions required by such systems. This work includes the creation of a room monitor in the form of an add-on module for the Raspberry Pi Zero computer and a modular wall switch using the ESP32 platform. The benefits of this work are new open devices with the potential for further expansion with additional modules.
System for processing of measured physical quantities
Škutová, Miroslava ; Pohl, Lukáš (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the overall design of a system for measurement and visualization of physical quantities. Emphasis is placed on the modularity of the system. The work proposes modules for measuring environmental variables, hot water and energy consumption. A program for data collection and storage in a time series database has been developed. The measured physical quantities are displayed in real time in an interactive web interface.
Cryptography on constrained devices
Šťovíček, Petr ; Jedlička, Petr (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis analyzes the possibilities of applying cryptographic primitives and protocols to various computationally and memory constrained devices. It then implements a secure data collection system from sensors. In its theoretical part, the work examines individual cryptographic algorithms, the RIOT operating system and available methods of wireless data transmission. It then presents the results of performance tests of various cryptographic operations. On this basis, it designs and implements a system that ensures the confidentiality, authenticity and integrity of transmitted data.
Design and implementation of custom home automation device
Šilar, Adam ; Sýkora, Tomáš (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the market of commercial smart home devices, then, based on the obtained information, choose one platform and design a solution for implementing your own smart device into the platform. The solution includes several experimental attempts, that try to integrate their own devices into the Google Home platform. The proposed solution deals with the creation of the definition of its own device in the platform for one or more devices in one project. The developed program for the device with the selected microcontroller supports the use of local control of commands on the home network with the help of available protocols without the use of third-party internet services.
Monitoring of production facilities
Borsuk, Adam ; Kiac, Martin (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to study the possibilities of creating a monitoring system for older production facilities already in operation. Select the necessary components for the nature of the equipment to create a system that is able to capture and provide information about activities on the equipment. The second goal is to design a suitable communication model for clear information about the operation, sending and storing data. The third goal is to analyze the dual-core ESP32 microprocessor against its predecessors in the role of system control unit.
Control Unit with (Espressif) ESP32 Module
Smička, Daniel ; Krejčí, Jan (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes concept, design and making of control unit with module Espressif ESP32. At first we apply to proposition of theoretical communication blocking scheme and blocking scheme of design. Afterwards we apply to designing of the scheme and choosing appropriate parts and making design of printed circuit board. In the end we are going to code function of the module and we will make end-user device.
Monitoring equipment for fermentation processes using the thermodynamic sensors
Jáneš, Pavel ; Búran, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the design and implementation of a prototype device that is to be used to monitor fermentation processes in the food industry using thermodynamic sensors. The work contains a brief description of fermentation processes in the food industry and also possible methods of their monitoring. It also deals with the principle of the thermodynamic sensor and the description of the ESP32 microcontroller, which is the core of the prototype. Subsequently, it deals with the design of a prototype, including a program for ESP32, which is able to monitor the fermentation process using a pair of thermodynamic sensors and send the measured data to the cloud service ThingSpeak, to a personal computer or store them in Flash memory. Furthermore, the work deals with testing in experimental measurements, in which fermentation processes were monitored with the prototype.
IoT with Reconfigurable Nodes in Python
Pitko, Erik ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is creation and implementation of monitoring software for reconfigurable ESP32 nodes equipped with the existing operating system MPOS. This system is then used to solve specific task. The monitoring system is capable of loading, activating and maintaining applications written in MicroPython language that is running on these nodes. Nodes can communicate with other applications using the MQTT broker.
Room Presence Detection in the Smart Home
Průdek, David ; Letavay, Viliam (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to design and implement presence detection sensor which works with home automation. I focused on sensor implementation which needs for activity only available wearable electronics. Sensor placed in room can detect other devices and based on signal intensity it determines his location. For this case I chose Bletooth LE which is used to be implemented in the most of wearable electronics and recently new utilization of BLE was found for indoor navigation. Using this sensor for automation is ensured by system Home Assistant. Main benefit of this project is simply and cheap extend home automation capabilities for person detection in rooms, not only detection in large areas which offers GPS and Wi-Fi systems.
Intelligent electricity meter
Haman, Martin ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis describe design and realization of smart energy meter. The smart energy meter allows remote reading of the measured values and with connected externals modules also switching of connected load. The theoretical part covered measured values definition, required function analysis, components selection and design of smart energy meter. The practical part deal with firmware development, programming, remote control and reading of the measured values. The final chapter deal with realization and calibration of the smart energy meter.
