Present State of Drama in Education in Aš

This Master's thesis focuses on educational institutions in the city of Aš. It isn't concerned just with elementary schools but covers the overall educational system in this town. The main aim is to find out which schools incorporate drama in education into their educational programs and to what extent. This work further analyzes which educational goals are selected by the teachers. The theoretical part analyses general educational programs for different school types and the role of drama in education in these documents. Educational influence of Drama in Education on social and mental developement of pupils with learning difficutilties of the 1.st grade at Walfdorf school.

The diploma thesis deals with the educational influence of the subject of creative drama on psychosocial development of pupils with special learning difficulties (SLD) on 1st grade of Waldorf school. The work is focused mainly on the development of communication skills, respecting the boundaries, instructions and cooperation in the classroom using methods and techniques of drama education with pupils with SLD in 2nd half of 2nd grade and 1st half of 3rd class. The theoretical part defines the four basic parts of this diploma thesis psychosocial development of children of younger school age, special learning difficulties (SLD), accompanying phenomena and their influence on the psychosocial development of the child, characteristics of Waldorf school, methods and techniques of drama education. The practical part deals with the development of communication, cooperation, observance of rules, understanding of the topic and the ability of its interpretation of individuals and the whole group in the lessons of creative drama. In the lessons, we experienced key themes of the Waldorf School. The whole process is recorded and evaluated using record sheets from each lesson.
Comparison of learning effectivity of pupils with lawer results in lessons taught frontal with lessons build on principles of Drama in Education

This diploma thesis is focused on pupils with average and below-average school results. The author of the thesis compares two teaching methods - drama teaching education and frontal teaching with modern teaching methods (in the thesis this method is being referred to as traditional education). The aim of the thesis is to find out which of these two methods pupils mentioned above prefer. In order to achieve this aim in the empirical part, the author of the thesis used both methods while teaching and compared the results - the amount of information that the pupils managed to remember from the lessons from the methods had been used. A questionnaire was used to validate the research results. The theoretical part is devoted to a lower school pupil and his ability to study. Then the author of the thesis is focused on Czech school system after 1989, especially on approaches of a school / a teacher to a pupil. To drama education, which is very important for this thesis, the whole chapter was devoted. The final part of the theoretical part is devoted to research methods. In the practical part, the conditions of the realization of the author's research, its realization and reflection are being mentioned. In the conclusion, the results from the obtained data are presented.

This master's thesis is to verify the use of methods and techniques of dramatic education in primary subject in the 2nd and 3rd year of elementary school and to find out the possibilities that the dramatic education brings. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with topics related to the methods and techniques of drama education. In the practical part are described and compared classics hours of primary subject and hours primary subject with using elements of dramatic education. The methods of research are non-direct observation and questionnaire investigations.
Use of D.I.E. Methods as the Prevention of Risky Behaviour in the Classroom

My diploma thesis is about prevention of the most risky behaviour on primary school which is bullying. Prevention is presented through the methods and strategie sof drama education. In the theoretical section acquaints readers with important informations of bullying and substance of drama in education, which are the basis for a comprehensive understanding of this issue. The theoretical part is also the basis for creating bullying prevention project using the methods and strategies of drama education, presented and reflected in the practical part. The practical part is also the result of a questionnaire, which is focused on opinion surveys of teachers of primary schools to prevent bullying and the use of methods and techniques of drama in this issue. Use of Drama in Education in lessons of ethical education in the begining of school atandance

My master thesis deals with the use of drama education methods when teaching the third grade pupils. The aim is to show that combining the drama education and ethics teaching can effectively develop pupils' moral attitude. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes children of middle childhood and defines both kinds of education. The practical part is a proposal of ten drama education lessons with ethics topics created after observing third grade pupils of the primary school of Bratrancu Veverkovych in Pardubice for five months. The proposal is followed by an implementation of the lessons. The lessons focus on developing pupils in following areas: communication, self-evaluation, appreciation of others, respecting rules, creativity, assertive behaviour, and sensitivity towards one's environment. The implemented lessons are then reflected with regard to defined aims. The thesis' conclusion sums up the results obtained from observing the pupils. The results show us that the drama education methods can bring pupils an authentic experience which will significantly influence their values and moral attitude. 1 Abstract: This thesis is entitled "Selected topics from the educational theme A human and his world; explored employing the methods and techniques of Drama In Education." The first section explores the theory. It not only deals with Drama In Education; its content, principles, form, methods, and planning; but also what a teacher of drama should be; the characteristics of children in the early years of education; the assessment of drama; and of course the theme - A human and his world. The practical section describes the elements of a range of methods and contains individual lesson script. Each lesson is underpinned by a particular method. This section goes on to deal with assigned goals; their verification in practice; and finally, conclusions drawn from the implementation of the planned lessons. In designed lessons I used selected methods and techniques of structured drama and preparatoried games and exercises. I found out that very different topics from this educational theme A Human and his world can be worked up by methods and techniques of drama education because I suggested different topics from this educational theme and I verified them in practice.

This diploma thesis examines the possibilities of using techniques and methods of drama education in the work of a first-level primary school teacher, specifically in teaching a patriotic topic. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. It the theoretical part, it characterizes the younger school age child and their specifics, focusing on physical, emotional and social development, as well as development of cognitive processes. This diploma thesis deals with theme of a work of a novice drama teacher at the beginning of school attendance. Specially in the first mid-term of the first class. The theoretical part is a vocational knowledge file which is the practical part based on. The thesis allows a deep view into the drama education. It will help us to learn about a child in the start of schooling and also the aims of the early education of the first mid-term. It also defines the drama education and its principles, goals and forms. The thesis describes an inclusion of drama education in FEP (for Elementary Education) and the ideal properties of a drama education teacher. It deals with an idea of dramatic game, system of the preparatory games and exercises. It does not only introduce methods and techniques of drama education, but it also helps us to create and plan the lessons, often with a use of literary basis. A diploma thesis is concerned with research. The research is focused on compare of effectiveness and differences of two opposite techniques, which are using in school environment. Methods and techniques of drama in contrast of classics method of frontal teaching. A primary aim of diploma thesis is finding out, if these particular methods has got influences for better or worst understanding and remembering subject matter and how big are these influences. The diploma thesis is divided on two parts. First is theoretics and second is practice's part. Theoretics part is making efforts to sketch these problematics of technical viewpoint. It is working mainly with specialized literature. Theoretics part is creating foundations for practices part. Practice's part is asking about research questions first and choosing explorative methods for research. Like research method is selecting of analysis of tests from children from both of classes.
