The quality of welded joints of iron alloys - the causes of defects and the consequences of their presence
Korábová, Vendula ; Juliš, Martin (referee) ; Klakurková, Lenka (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to become familiar with the standards mapping the quality testing of welded joints and the follow-up application of these standards in solving a case study. The theoretical part describes welding methods, changes in the microstructure of the welded joint depending on temperature, heat dissipation rate and heat treatment. A major part is devoted to the mapping of standards describing destructive and non-destructive testing of welded joints. The experimental part deals with a comprehensive analysis of three case studies. The contents are components with localized failure in the welded joint. Emphasis is placed on determining the cause of the damage based on analyses of chemical composition, microstructure and hardness measurements.
Optimization of foundry technology for the production of piston from Al alloy
Poláček, Adam ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Krutiš, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of work is to optimize the casting solidification technology to reduce or completely eliminate defects. The literary part of the work deals with materials, production technology and defects in the pistons of internal combustion engines and compressors. In the design part of the work, an analysis of the occurring defects is performed. X-ray examination and the cut of the piston are conducted to investigate the causes of their formation. Subsequently, the simulation of the current production technology is carried out and technological modifications to the cooling process are proposed. These modifications are verified through simulation and in the conclusion are compared in terms of their effectiveness in reducing the occurrence of defects.
Evaluation of the quality of 3D scanned objects
Paštěka, Marek ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with problematics of trasfering real life objects into digital data using 3D scanners. Thesis deals with various 3D scanning technologies and errors of these methods. Main part of this thesis deals with special situations, during which a topology defect may likely occur. These defects most often seriously impact the resulting model in a negative way. For the purpose of maximally describing the issue at hand some very extreme edge scenarios were chosen for these experiments. Thesis also deals with development of a turntable device based on an Arduino microcontroller to help in the process of 3D scanning.
Robotic welding case of linear fluid motor
Střechovský, Jan ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The work deals with the feasibility study of robotic welding of a linear actuator cover. The first part includes a literature review focusing on the specifications and impact of individual welding process components on the appearance and properties of the weld. Some basic calculations necessary for the proper progress of the experiment are also included. The experimental part of the work focuses on finding suitable welding parameters and subsequent evaluation of the welded samples in terms of resulting defects. The following section compares the efficiency of manual and robotic welding. The conclusion of the work summarizes the achieved results and the decision on the feasibility of robotic welding for the given joint.
Harmonized FMEA analysis
Riabov, Mikhail ; Szendiuch, Ivan (referee) ; Novotný, Radovan (advisor)
The target of the diploma thesis on „Harmonized FMEA analysis“ is to familiarize with principles of quality planning and studying the theory of existing APQP tools. Another goal is to learn the basics of the new manual of harmonized FMEA analysis and discover some available SW tools for project support. This diploma thesis will be focused mainly on DFMEA analysis of traction assembly and the concept of changing to new harmonized version from VDA/AIAG will be explained. This concept meets the requirements for clear and comprehensible output required by the manufacturer, supplier, and customer. The diploma thesis is elaborated as a detailed clear guide for easier processing of FMEA according to the new manual.
Long Term Condition Monitoring in Order to Assessment of Existing Masonry Arch Railway Bridges
Kůrka, Jan ; Dohnálek, Jiří (referee) ; Tomek, Jan (referee) ; Hobst, Leonard (advisor)
Thesis rises from an actual needs to make standard of practice for assessment an existing arch railway masonry bridges on the basis of condition long term monitoring. Bridge assessment is a part of any inspection, especially in case of doubts arising during inspections due to heavy defects, increase of axle load or increase of train frequency, which may influence the structural safety, traffic safety or durability of a bridge. There are possibilities for utilization of monitoring results for assessment in case of investigation data absece. An important option is assessment based on satisfactory past performance by ČSN ISO 13822, chapter 8.
Analyse and Optimise Production Process of Prototypes
Hamr, Tomáš ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis summarizes basic findings about issues of making development samples of PCB. The emphasis is especially on required quality which complies with mentioned norms. The theoretical section includes methodology for evaluating quality dismounted boards, assembling and soldering, parameters of components under different environmental circumstances. The practical part is carried out in cooperation with the department EEG in R&D Automotive Lighting Jihlava. It is dedicated to the design and the preparation of development samples where the quality is assessed according to given methodology from the theoretical part. PCB are analyzed by an X-ray, metallographic grinding and other methods. Recommendations are given and based on results for improvements.
Inovation of measurement equipment used for analyzing of photovoltaick cells
Otépka, Jakub ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a tachometer which is used to measure and display of mechanical aperture speed of a measuring equipment for the defect analysis of solar cells using the photoluminescence method. This work is divided into three parts. The first section describes the principle of solar cells, the principle of luminescence radiation and its types. Next the defects of solar cells are analyzed. The second part discusses the theory of tachometers, the principles and methods of loading pulses. The third part is then analyzed the design and construction of the selected type tachometer.
Wettability of PCB Surface Finishes and Comparison of Methods
Vídeňský, Ondřej ; Přikryl, Tomáš (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with testing methods for surface finishe´s wettability PCB. For this tests has been designed and created testing board which contains testing coupons for testing methods. Boards have been created and covered by surface finishes by Gatema Boskovice. In this thesis electroless nickel with immersion gold (ENIG) and immersion tin have been tested. For simulation of reflow soldering have been used test methods solder indicator, solder spread test and dewetting test. Wetting balance test method has been used as simulation of wave soldering.
