Possibilities of physiotherapy for people with cerebral palsy
LINTNER, David
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapy for people with cerebral palsy (CP). The main goal is to apply these options within the medical rehabilitation plan. The theoretical part contains all the information on CP issues. It also includes developmental kinesiology, which is an integral part of the diagnosis and therapy of this disease. The last part contains a list of treatments that belong to complex therapy. The methodological part describes the process of research implementation, i.e. research sample, data collection methods, course of therapy, research ethics and research limits. The practical part is processed in the form of qualitative research, i.e. a case study, in which the input and output kinesiological analysis and subsequent therapy within a short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan are described in detail. The examination consists (apart from the anamnesis of the initial kinesiological analysis) of aspect, palpation, goniometry, orientation examination of strength, neurological examination, etc. The final kinesiological analysis showed that there was a positive effect of the therapy. The research lasted over a month and was prematurely terminated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent declaration of a state of emergency.

NESVADBOVÁ, Helena
This bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of educational possibilities for children with CP in the main educational stream in the city of České Budějovice. The first, theoretical part is focused on defining the CP, its diagnosis, classification and possible treatment methods. The next chapters look into history of education of handicapped children and the legislature which deals with the education of children with CP nowadays. The goal of this thesis is to explore the possibilities and processes of education of children with CP. This thesis is also trying to find out the opinions regarding this issue from parents, children and educational staff. The set goal is reached using quantitative research. This research was made using semi-structured interview with individual respondents and also the student's documentation was looked into. All respondents were contacted via directors or specialized educational staff of specific schools whom the request for cooperation was sent. The selected group of respondents was designed so that its structure corresponded with the goals of the thesis. The interviews were conducted in privacy without anyone else being present. The interviews with minors were conducted under the supervision of their legal guardian. The anonymity of all respondents was assured in the informed consent. Results of the research should be seen as basic information on the issue, because of relatively small number of respondents. After conducting the analysis, it is possible to say that children and pupils are satisfied with the given state of education. The result of research is the finding of insufficient usage of supportive means corresponding with current legislation. Most of the school included in the research are waiting for new examination of their pupils and also for explication of Special Pedagogy Center about possibilities of supportive measures funding. It would be suitable to review this thesis after for example two years in order to learn new information on the usage of supportive means and also possibilities of education of children with CP.

Use of orthotic aids for children with cerebral palsy
PIPKOVÁ, Veronika
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a complex of disorders in the development of posture and ability to move which cause limitation of activity. It is an unprogressive disease, which begins in the prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal phase of a neonate. Although the disability does not progress, complex rehabilitation may improve the clinical state. There is a difference between the spastic and the non-spastic type. The major aim of this thesis is to map the possibilities of orthotic care for children suffering from CP and to evaluate the effect of physiotherapy with the use of chosen aids. Three probands suffering from hemiparetic CP participated in the research. The aim is to answer these research questions: What are the possibilities of orthotic care for children with cerebral palsy? What changes will occur in the postural behaviour of probands due to the physiotherapy with the use of orthotic aids? The theoretical part is concerned with the issues of CP. The disease is described in a general way and divided according to the time of beginning and type. Furthermore, the diagnostics and therapy are explained. It is also concerned with spasticity and its symptoms, mechanisms, diagnostics and therapy. An overview of orthotic aids, and experimental methods like posturography and surface electromyography are covered as well. The practical part deals with a qualitative research which was completed by case interpretations of three schoolchildren suffering from hemiparetic CP. The thesis includes an initial and a final kinesiologic analysis and a description of applied physiotherapies. Furthermore, it includes the results of posturogtaphy and surface electromyography focused on the orthotic aids used by the probands. The research took place in Centrum Arbida in České Budějovice and in the physiotherapy centre at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. This thesis may be used as a comprehensive overview of the given issues and possibilities of orthotic therapy for children suffering from CP.
