Comparison of the Country-of origin Effect on Czech Products Domestically and in Austria

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare the influence of the country of origin effect on Czech products between Czech and Austrian university students. The first part includes description of existing theories in this field and also presents theoretical possibilities of brand and product origin communication. The empirical part introduces both markets, selected brands Škoda Auto and Pilsner Urquell and presents the interpretation of the data obtained from the questionnaire and its quantitative analysis. In the proposal part, the conclusions of the hypotheses constructed based on the empirical research in the first chapter are interpreted, the differences between both groups of respondents are discussed and author’s proposals are presented.
The Effect of Socio-Demographic Factors on Consumer Trends in the Czech Republic

The thesis examines the potential effects of various socio-demographic determinants on consumer trends in the Czech market over the years 2009- 2019. We use data from the agency Median, s.r.o., which has been researching consumer behavior since 1993. This work analyzes dependent categorical variables that define potential consumer trends and represent answers of respondents or households. We utilized an ordinal logistic regression for the analysis, which we subsequently tested by Brant's test. Statistically significant results from the models are similar to the results in previous studies. Specifically, during the years 2009-2019, the interest in recycling increases, people tend to buy organic food more often, and spending on Czech products decreases slightly (especially in 2018 and 2019), and people tend to spend more money on vacation. For example, the bachelor thesis shows that women have a greater tendency to buy organic products and Czech food than men and, at the same time, recycle more often than men. Furthermore, new variables are examined in regards to observed trends. Such variables are the number of persons employed in the household and the ABCDE classification. Analysis of the Czech Foreign Trade before and after Entering the European Union

The purpose of this thesis is to describe development of Czech international trade and compare countries in order to define what countries are the most important for Czech international trade. The structure of the trade is examined in order to investigate which commodities are exported and imported. The commodity structure of individual countries is analyzed, so that the differences in commodity structure could be demonstrated. The other main purpose is to describe international trade in services and to demonstrate Czech trade with services. The thesis also describes Czech foreign and trade policy since year 1918 till nowadays and pinpoints the most important economic and political milestones in our history. The last goal of this thesis is to analyze Czech export policy and state-owned or commercial companies which helps Czech exporters.

Due to the different needs and requirements of visitors an individual access of all subjects in tourism is very important. One part of tourism is agritourism, too.
