Experimental and calculational salts' properties investigation for MSR reactors from nuclear data point-of-view
Burian, Jiří ; Ing. Miroslav Zeman, PhD., SÚJB RC Brno (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
Nowadays there is research into molten salt reactors. The use of chlorine-based salts, which would be more available than known fluoride salts, is envisaged. The subject of research is not only the chemical and physical properties of chloride salts, but also their behavior in the neutron field and the influence of neutron balance inside the reactor. Many properties can also be determined using calculations that draw information from scientific nuclear libraries (endf). The purpose of this work is to compare important nuclear libraries with each other, and also to compare the reaction rates calculated from the library data with the reaction rates obtained by self-measurement. The preview will include a description of the necessary activities associated with the preparation of measurements, instructions for compiling the computer program NJOY and the process of the measurement itself. At the end of the work will be summarized the results and statements of which nuclear library is the closest in its values to the results of experiments.
The possibility of the use of alternative soils into the Vlachovice dam body
Novák, Jiří ; Špano, Miroslav (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with possibility of the use of alternative soils into the Vlachovice dam body. In the introductory part, a brief description of the site of the Vlachovice dam is presented. Following section includes a research of the possibility of the use of alternative soils into the dam body. The research includes a description of the individual waterworks, along with the specifics of their construction process. Based on this research, a variant design of the typical profile for the Vlachovice dam is developed. There is also an estimation of cubaturs of materials needed to construct the selected design profile, as well as an estimation of cubaturs of available materials in the flood.
Simulation of nuclear fuel burn-up during whole fuel cycle
Smola, Luděk ; ČEZ,, Ondřej Zlámal, (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
The main goal of this Bachelor’s thesis is to create a long-term kinetics model of a nuclear reactor – model, which simulates changes in nuclear fuel inside the reactor core during reactor operation. As the term long-term suggests, primarily the changes in whole five-year fuel cycle horizon are studied, which stands for changes in concentration of elements contained within fresh fuel as well as origination of new ones (with special focus on higher actinides and plutonium). This mathematical model is created using the MAPLE 14 software. Outputs from the model are displayed graphically and thoroughly analysed, so that comprehensive conclusions of problems can be made. Furthermore, the thesis contains theoretical and informational background that is necessary for understanding all the aspects of the model – historical development of nuclear reactors, their basic types, nuclear fuel description focusing on fuel for pressurized light-water reactors VVER (for which the model is primarily designed), MOX fuel and possibilities of its utilization, and last but not least – selected topics from nuclear physics.
Transmutation of spent nuclear fuel with using accelerator driven systems
Máca, Pavel ; Král, Dušan (referee) ; Zeman, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of neutron spectra in the reactors with liquid salts. The teoretical part contains a brief description of the nuclear fuel cycles. In the theoretical are further described the reactors of IV. generations. Here are the reactors on the basis of liquid salts described in detail. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of neutron spectra in set-ups performer from solid salt. Concretly, the salts NaCl and KCl were analysed by means of the computational codes TALYS and MCNP.
Documentation of Barová cave - central part
Chaloupka, Roman ; Machotka, Radovan (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the graphic documentation of Barová cave – central part in the form of a plan and transection in a scale of 1:250. The thesis contains, including brief description of the area, all steps from reconnaisasance and completion of the existing measuring network to the measuring and processing part leading to the creation of the resulting map.
Analysis of possibilities of solution of buckling of a screw-shaped beam
Pokorný, Jan ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with the effect of the pretwist of a column on the increase in buckling load and also focuses on a column with rectangular cross section. This problem is divided into two main parts. The first one is represented by the column with a large thread pitch, the second one by a small thread pitch. The results are obtained by a numerical approach using MATLAB software. The verification is carried out via finite element software. The outcome of this thesis is plotting the ratio of the critical loads of the twisted and prismatic columns against the ratio of the side lengths of the rectangular cross section. The results are shown for both types of considered columns.
Road II/150 Domaželice - Bystřice p. Hostýnem - relocation study
Feichtinger, Lukáš ; Smítal, Petr (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the diploma‘s thesis is the project of relaying of road II/150 between Domaželice village and the town of Bystřice pod Hostýnem. The road continues on to the bypass of Čechy village and Domaželice village. This bypass is under construction at this time. Relaying of road II/150 is connected on project of Bystřice pod Hostýnem bypass. The connection of the existing and intended roads is designed. The project includes the accompanying report, the drawing part and the photodocumentation. The project is drawning up in two programs called Bentley Inroads and AutoCAD according to valid standards.
Modernization of Track Section Okříšky - Bransouze
Melecký, Martin ; Maršalík, Jakub (referee) ; Říha, Tomáš (advisor)
The major thesis goal is a track geometry design for a track speed increase while respecting a feasibility of such a project. The concerned no. 240 track section is between Okříšky railway station and Bransouze railway station. The track ballast, drainage reconstruction and construction procedure is also incuded.
Study of R43/ I/43 Grade Separated Junction
Libichová, Jana ; Janda, Michal (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
Aim of this Master´s thesis is the road adjustment and design of new grade separated junction highway R43 and road I/43,of Černá Hora – Svitávka and to design optimal distribution of transport hubs including the design II/150 and III/37429, which should be connected with existing roads. The adjustment of the routes will be designed in the necessary extent with the optimal distribution of transport hubs regarding the best transport and economical solution and with minimal impact on the enviroment.
Teplice, Bílinská st. - roundabout design
Chladný, Miroslav ; Veselý, Miloš (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
The aim of my master´s thesis is to design documentation, at the level of study, for roundabout. The area of interest is defined by the crossroad of Lounská, Americká, Bílinská streets and the conection of existing road I/13 . This is the crossroad of local roads, which are functional group C-serving with the serving function. The aim of conversion of existing crossroad on the roundabout is to calm and clarify the traffic in the locality. There are also designed comunications for pedestrians in the locality. The study is solved in two variant of conection to existing road I/13.
