Cost-efficient design of high pressure gas pipeline
Šrámková, Veronika ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was the cost-efficient design of high pressure gas pipeline with a maximum capacity 40 mil.Nm3/day and a length of the pipeline 100 km. The economic design consisted of analyzing and comparing expenses for three different pipelines over a 20-year period. The thesis includes the design of pipe dimensions with proposed thickness of pipe walls according to STN EN 1594: 2014 and ISO 4200: 2010. Software Simone was used in order to determine the pressure loss and the number of compressor stations. Software calculated the necessary power of compressor stations and fuel gas consumption as well. Based on the necessary power, the most economically advantageous gas turbine compressors were chosen for each compressor station. The capital expenditures consisted of the price for compressor stations together with gas pipelines. The operating expenditures for 20 years were added to these costs. In conclusion of the thesis, a comparison of expenditures for all 3 variants was conducted. Based on the results, it can be stated that the most economically advantageous variant of the construction is a gas pipeline with a diameter DN1000.
Assessment of the economic efficiency of the investment project
Bílková, Alice ; Musilová, Tereza (referee) ; Vaňková, Lucie (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to assess the economic efficiency of the investment project. The theoretical part focuses on the basic definitions related to investment decisions on the investment project and the project life cycle, cash flows and their predictions and recommendations to set them correctly, methods useful for assessing the effectiveness of the investment project and the indicators presenting the financial stability and feasibility of the project as well as factors affecting the overall investment decision, and finally the possibility of financing of the investment projects in the private sector. In the practical part there are the theoretical findings applied in the real investment project. Specifically, there will be analyzed the characterized investment project and its possible alternatives and finally made the assessment of economic efficiency.
The acquisition and operating costs (efficiency) of different types of HV lines
Veselý, Tomáš ; Reiter, Martin (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with the evaluation of the efficiency of investment of various types of high voltage lines in terms of capital expenditures and operating expenses. The thesis describes the issue of the regulated environment in the field of electricity, the analysis of the pricing for ensuring the distribution of electricity and the analysis of the capital expenditures and operating expenses of the authorized returns of the distribution company operator. Subsequently, an analysis of the capital expenditures and operating expenses of the overhead and cable lines is processed. The particular components of the operating costs are determined either by annual energy loss per unit of length, an annual hourly labor demand, or an annual cost per unit of length. Another point is the evaluation of the investment efficiency for two different model lines, evaluation of capital expenditures and operating expenses, allowed investment returns and economic evaluation. The conclusion of this pursuit is the comparison of both types of lines, both with the view of capital expenditures and operating expenses, as well as with the view of economic appreciation.
Investment activity of municipalities
HULANOVÁ, Natálie
This thesis deals with investment activities of municipalities in the Czech Republic, and it focuses on the capital expenditures and the factors that influence these expenditures. The theoretical part defines to the detail budgets, incomes and expenditures of municipalities. All this knowledge is used in the practical part of this thesis. In the first phase for the analysis is used aggregated publicly available data of expenditures of municipalities in the Czech Republic in the long-time period from 2010 to 2020 in terms of amount and dynamics. As follows the analysis of a selected sample of municipalities is also carried out using a panel regression analysis, which is used to test the statistical significance of factors that influence capital expenditures of municipalities. In the results of this thesis are identified the factors that significantly influence the capital expenditures of municipalities. It succeeded to show that the capital expenditures of municipalities in the South Bohemia Region influence tax incomes of the previous year, non-tax incomes, received investment transfers, indebtedness and debt service of the previous year, finances in bank accounts of the previous year, budget balance last year, interest rate and also the pre-election period.

Analysis of state budget in 1993 - 2014
Soukup, Petr ; Ochrana, František (advisor) ; Vítek, Leoš (referee)
This thesis deals with the analysis of state budget in 1993 to 2014. Firstly the state budget and public expenditures are theoretically defined. Secondly the analysis of state budget expenditures of the Czech Republic at the level of budget chapters, current and capital expenditures is elaborated in the practical part. The comparison of state budget expenditures follows based on the classification COFOG with selected EU members. In the last part of the thesis the political-economic cycle is defined and the analysis in a form of testing hypotheses of basis of literature related to the political-economic cycle is performed. The testing was carried out in Eviews using the autoregressive process. The analysis follows the partial theory of political-economic cycles in the Czech Republic, positive results of the comparison and the growing trend of state budget expenditures of the Czech Republic.

Petříčková, Zuzana ; Květoň, Viktor (advisor) ; Nosek, Štěpán (referee)
Changes in investment behaviour of municipality in relation to current trends of the national economy: case study of Hradec Králové region Abstract The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to analyze the influence of the changing economic trends at the national level to the investment behaviour of municipality of different size categories. Specifically whether the local governments stabilized each phase of economic cycle by their own interventions between the years 2001 and 2012 and helped to smoother economic development. Null hypothesis expected that bigger townships are more influential in the stabilization of economy than the smaller ones. In the first theoretical part of the thesis there were analyzed the types of economic cycle, literature, each components of municipal budget and last but not least, there were presented brief characteristics of the development of Czech economy. The study focused on selected municipalities of Hradec Králové region which were divided into four size-based categories. Statements about economic policy of each category were set up using the capital expenses and information gained during the interviews. Despite the fact that in most cases municipalities behaved as stabilizer of economic development, null hypothesis wasn't validated. Keywords: economic policy, anticyclical...

Sources of founding of regional investments
Nardelliová, Klára ; Sedmihradská, Lucie (advisor) ; Bayer, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis deals with the sources of funding of regional investments. Financing the investments by own resources is very difficult and maybe even impossible. Regions gained the opportunity to co-finance investments using European subsidies after the accession to the European Union. This thesis tries to find out what is the meaning of these subsidies to finance regional investments. The primary objective of this work is to determine the share of European subsidies on regional investments. Furthermore the thesis focuses on finding the common features of these investments and subsidies. The results of the analysis shows that proportion of European subsidies on capital expenditure is significantly different between regions. The amount of share is between 23-99%. European subsidies are mainly used for large investments, especially in investments in transport infrastructure. Regions usually utilize subsidies only from the regional operational programs. The conclusions of this work can be used in determining goals of EU regional policy.
