The possibilities of usage natural gas as fuel in agriculture.
KAŇKA, Miloslav
This contribution is focused on the possibilities of using gas fuels in transportation, from the historical beginning, the historical development in individual European countries till now. The main focus is on the possibility of using compressed natural gas (CNG) and biogas in agriculture, because the industry is starting the production of new CNG tractors and other vehicles using in agriculture nowadays. The advantages and disadvantages of CNG usage are mentioned too. In some sectors of agriculture, where the handling machines are used, may CNG as fuel be applied successfully. The contribution deals with the real experience of usage the lift trucks powered by CNG, which can be an inspiration for the farms where they consider of CNG as fuel for their vehicles.
Application of LNG in Transport
Machalová, Markéta ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor) ; Žákovec, Jan (referee)
This bachelor's thesis evaluates the various aspects of implementation of LNG (liquefied natural gas) as a fuel for a smaller transport company. Today, more and more alternative fueled vehicles are being used. One of the most common alternative fuels is natural gas in the form of either LNG or CNG (compressed natural gas). The objective of this thesis is to determine, whether the investment in LNG installation is convenient for the Děčín city transport company. By analysis and calculation I came to the conclusion, that gasification of buses is advantageous compared to diesel from the safety, ecological and economical point of view. Due to technical and legislative obstacles, LNG is currently less profitable for a smaller transport company than CNG. LNG implementation is now in Czech Republic convenient for transport companies in towns, where pipeline does not have enough capacity for CNG installation.
Using of CNG buses in Pilsen public transport
Hrubá, Alena ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor) ; Kolman, Lubomír (referee)
My bachelor thesis focuses on natural gas and its possible use in transport. The first part of the thesis is centred on physical and chemical properties of natural gas, its different forms (CNG and LNG) and advantages of it's use in transport. The second part of the thesis deals with the practical use of natural gas, specifically on the implementation of CNG buses into the public transport of Pilsen. Step by step, I have selected the most appropriate vehicles and filling stations. The outcome of the final calculation is that the implementation of CNG buses is much less costly than the using of diesel buses.
Availability of EU subsidy for energy effieciency of traffic in the South Bohemian region
PETRÁŇOVÁ, Iveta
This Thesis is titled ?qThe availibility of support from the European Union energy saving in the trafic in South Bohemia region??. It is focuses on the situation in transport in the European Union and the Czech Republic. The transport strategy for next year is to use different types of alternative fuels. This Thesis will describe the possibility of taking the financial subsidies to promote the alternative sources of transport in the European Union, or other sources.
The analysis of alternative fuels on example of business plan
Klimeš, Pavel ; Hartman, Ladislav (advisor) ; Topolová, Karolína (referee)
The theme of the diploma thesis is to analyze the use and prepare the business plan of establishing alternative fuel showroom cars. Showroom will focus on sales of new cars with full warranty that are primary equipped with alternative fuel engine. The idea of concentrating sales center of alternative fuel cars is unique, in the vast majority of cases sellers are becoming dealers of automobile manufacturers and their direct representatives. The sales center will be concentrated in the Prague region where the parent company has its placr of business. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the characteristics of conventional and alternative fuels. In the practical part there is created a business plan of construction and operation alternative fuel cars showroom. The project is prepared on real numbers and will be used during implementation in practise.
Alternative drives of cars
Wachal, Ondřej ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
My diploma thesis deals with alternative drive cars that are still more popular these times. Due to limited supplies of oil fields car factories turn their attention to the development of alternative drives, which would be independent of exhaustible resources. The aim of the work will mainly compare the economic efficiency of current alternative fuel vehicles, where belong hybrid drives, electric drives, but also a unit for compressed gas or biofuels, to the current conventional drives. This comparison will be done from the perspective of the end consumer who will decide on the purchase of alternative drive mainly because of its indicating cost savings. Another important part of the evaluation is whether alternative fuels are actually more environmentally friendly and are actually counted all the costs. For this analysis I will provide a variety of specialized studies dealing with the issue of alternative propulsion friendliness to the environment.
The outlook on natural gas sources diversification in the European Union
Kosková, Iva ; Vondrušková, Barbora (advisor) ; Němcová, Ingeborg (referee)
Natural gas occupies an indispensable place in the European Union energy mix. Nevertheless it is important to optimize energy dependence of the EU on the Russian Federation, which is the key supplier of this commodity for the European market. One of the main ways how to decrease this dependence and consequently increase energy safety of the EU is the natural gas sources diversification and diversification of its transport routes. The diversification effort includes not only the building of new gas pipelines but also a growing importance of the liquefied natural gas (LNG), which currently brings brand new principles to the natural gas market. Even though it is obvious that the map of the European natural gas infrastructure is going to change in the future, it is necessary to bear in mind that the interdependence between Russia and the EU is going to maintain a significant influence on the energy policy of both parties.
