Analysis of Investment in Cryptocurrencies

In my bachelor thesis I analyse the investment potential of cryptocurrencies. In addition to a general introduction to cryptocurrencies, I will mainly focus on Bitcoin, which is currently their most important representative. Based on the outputs from the theoretical and practical part of the bachelor´s thesis, I will compare investments in Bitcoin against the most popular investment commodity, which is gold. Furthermore, I will present my own assumption of the future development of Bitcoin. In the end I will describe my own proposal of a strategy for investing in cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin Mining Acceleration

This master's thesis deals with virtual currency called Bitcoin. It describes the functioning of the currency of technical perspective especially the implementation of the transaction, the way of its validation and ensuring the integrity by using cryptographic functions. Furthermore, it describes the principle of the Bitcoin creation, particularly mining method called pooled mining. The thesis also describes the communication protocols and design of architecture to acceleration of the bitcoin mining. Finally, there are described tests, assessment and proposals for the continuation of work.

Identification of Cryptocurrency Users

abstract.en={The 3rd January 2009 is considered to be the beginning of the cryptocurrency era. This work will deal with one of the ways of obtaining information about cryptocurrency users. It will be done by retrieving it from public websites where users often knowingly or unknowingly publish their cryptocurrency's address for different purposes (donation accounts or online payments which include personal data) as a result of which it is possible to link their crypto account with their real identity. The information is obtained through web scrappings. The result is an implemented application capable of automated collecting of data about the identity of cryptocurrency users and its subsequent storage in a structured database.
Activity Alarm for Cryptocurrency Blockchains

Cryptocurrencies are becoming popular and the demand for monitoring transactions inside them increases alongside with it. In this thesis, I describe few of the most widespread cryptocurrencies built on top of a blockchain and how to obtain information of their transactions in order to raise alarms. I discuss existing solutions and describe application Cryptoalarm designed for monitoring transactions involving specific addresses in order to raise alarms. Cryptoalarm scans blockchains of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Zcash, Dash, Ethereum and raises alarms about address activities in real-time.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the development and formation of cryptocurrencies especially the most common cryptocurrency Bitcoin. It describes the principles of blockchain and decentralized currencies. It focuses on the comparison of individual kinds of cryptocurrencies which are compared from several points of view, such as their origin, the principle of their functioning and value. Furthermore the possibilities of acquiring and trading cryptocurrencies are analyzed and compared. These options include extraction, purchase through digital currency exchange and exchange trading. Individual solutions are compared in terms of their convenience for a particular user.
Rest API for Bitcoin Network Querying

This bachelor's thesis solves issues of Bitcoin network transformed data processing. The main aim of this thesis is to describe the details of Bitcoin network cryptocurrency principles and subsequently create an application which is able to process and allow access to historical data as well as actual data in the network. The solution was focused on fast synchronization and the ability to respond to requests in the shortest possible time. The problem was implemented using the NoSQL database system Cassandra with database import strategy where some data fields are updated  only on request. Created solution is mostly able to compete with currently available tools.
Mathematical Methods in Economics

In my bachelor thesis, I deal with the topic of mathematical methods in economics. I focus on investing the company's free capital in cryptocurrencies, which is illustrated with the help of selected strategies. In the first part of the work, I explain the technical and fundamental requirements of cryptocurrencies, its most important representatives and technical analysis based on mathematical and statistical methods. In the practical part, I analyze four selected cryptocurrencies on two different investment strategies, which are then evaluated.
