Relations of Central bank to Commercial banks The purpose of my thesis is to analyse relations among central bank and commercial banks in current view with emphasising on situation in the Czech Republic. This analysis is a critical appraisal of issues in relation to current legislation, and last but not least also the planned changes, which are currently under discussion. The thesis is divided into five chapters with introduction and abstract. The Regulation Of The Banking Sector in The EU Due To Economic Crisis

This thesis aims to analyze and evaluate changes in bank regulation prepared in the European Union. It focuses primarily on the imperfections of the existing regulatory system, which occurred in relation to the financial crisis, and on efforts of EU leaders to eliminate such imperfections. The first section defines the general reasons for bank regulation and supervision, describes the specifics of the banking sector and summarizes the pre-crisis situation in the EU. The second part analyzes the most important reasons for the financial crisis and the causes of its rapid expansion from U.S. to European markets. The third block deals with the final response in the form proposed by the EU and the concrete measures taken with regard to banking regulation and supervision on the territory of all EU Member States.

This bachelor work deals with the concept of the bank, its functions, legislation, regulation and supervision in the banking market. The theoretical knowledge is used in the practical part, where a brief depiction is followed by basic characteristics of the major banks in the Czech market. The starting point of this work is a market-economic analysis of the current banking market in the Czech Republic.
Credit risk management in the Czech banking

This thesis deals with the management of credit risk in the Czech banking sector. It consists of four separate chapters. The first three chapters provide a theoretical basis for important knowledge concerning the issue. The first chapter provides general background information about the bank, the importance of bank regulation and supervision, and all types of banking risks, with emphasis on credit risk. The second chapter deals with the system of credit risk management in banks, which includes the identification, quantification, monitoring and reducing of credit risk. The capital adequacy and rules for its determination under Basel II are contained in the third chapter. The last chapter provides an analysis of selected indicators of the Czech banking sector and assessment of credit risk management in the two largest Czech banks, on the basis of specific fair value of their annual reports.
The system of banking regulation and supervision in the Czech Republic with a view to licensed entry in the banking industry

This bachelor thesis deals with the banking regulation and supervision in the Czech Republic and is focused on licensed entry in the banking industry as the basic part of the system of banking regulation and supervision. Attention is devoted to the current legal regulations of banking license including the conditions of its obtaining and the uniform license principle that is applied in the member states of the European Union. This thesis describes also the possibilities of banking license extinguishment. The aim of my thesis is to make an integrated overview of this dilemma and to review the need of regulation arrangement. For that purpose is the last part of the thesis dedicated to the regulation development in the Czech banking system since 1990 until present with the sight on the changes in license administration area.
