American intervention in Iraq: impacts of the de-Ba'athification process

The bachelor thesis titled "American intervention in Iraq: impacts of the de-Ba'athification process" is dedicated to United States influence in this process, its impacts on Iraqis and the future development of the country. De-Ba'athification process was part of US policy in post- intervention Iraq. The intervention in Iraq took place following Al Qaeda's terrorist attack on the towers of the World Trade Center in New York. Using the example of the first order of the Coalition Provisional Authority, the thesis analyses the success of the transition to democracy and the mechanism of transitional justice that the US chose in the transformation of Iraq. The CPA, led by its administrator Paul Bremer, was responsible for the administration of the country after the US invasion, and the first order was the most important feature of the whole process. Its goal was to remove any security threat to the coalition forces on Iraqi territory, to cleanse the country of Ba'athist regular members and associates and ban them from future employment in the public sector. The goal of this comparative case study is to evaluate the form of government during the French mandate in Syria and the British mandate in Iraq. The government is based on state powers - executive, legislative and judicial. I will describe the institutional system of the three branches of government during the mandate and in the following 20 years horizon. The end of the colonial period also applies to the two mentioned countries. These countries were seeking a way how to autonomous administration across complex political situation and sought to ensure political stability and effective state administration on the territory of these countries after their decolonization. In the practical part I will describe the development of branches of government in the countries compared to each other. Specific features will be presented in cases of mutual relations. An evaluation of the British and French colonial system of governance and their implications will be presented in the conclusion.

The final thesis deals with creating the business plan Letsgood.com s.r.o., which create modern software. Thesis is focused on strategic management and practical experiences of the author, which are gathered during his study, employment in the software company and his business. The aim of the thesis is to create a business plan up to 2016. In the theoretical part, author focuses on the comparison of various definitions of entrepreneurship, strategic corporate management and startup establishment. The beginning of the practical part describes company and its products. Next chapter forms definition of the market category, market and strategic analysis. The result of the analysis is projected to marketing strategy. Chapter people and financial plan eventually gives readers a realistic picture of the company's ambitions.
