The aim of this thesis is the analysis of most common alternative drive systems currently used in cars, their comparison with the current gasoline and diesel engines. Familiarization with the technical solutions of drives, their categorization into several groups according to the specific key features. It also deals the most important components of an alternative fuels automobiles, respecting their strengths and also weaknesses that currently hinder expansion of these propulsions, economically as well as technically.

In this work is processed a survey of perspective alternative drives in motor vehicles. There are main characteristic for each mentioned drive, their advantages and disadvantages and problems associated with their use in vehicles. Fuel cells in personal transport

This thesis is oriented to historical evolution of fuel cell, his total analysis, description of single disadvantage and advantage with which fuel cells battle. An other reason for urgency of using alternative fuel, brief description of car market and possible guess of fuel cell's future in personal transport are involved in an other part of this thesis. The end of the thesis deal with cars of fuel cells split in parts according to single car companies.

The current state of change from conventional combustion engines to its alternatives is mapped in this bachelor’s diploma thesis. The basic principles and configurations of conventional combustion engines and its existing alternatives are mentioned. The thesis is also dealing with various kinds of alternative fuels; their summary and evaluation are mentioned as well. In the conclusion of the thesis it is foreshadowed in what way the car industry could proceed in the subsequent years.

The object of the bachelor thesis is to create a research in field of electromobile. The project outset is devoted to the main ideas and to the history of the electromobilism. The second part describes electric system and used conceptions of the electric motor placing. The following part describes the sources of energy and the ways to recharge. The end includes some electro mobiles that are going to be a stock car.

Assessment of electromobility possibilities in the South Bohemian Region

This diploma paper evaluates the possibilities of the current state and development of electromobility in the South Bohemian Region in connection to other alternative ways of transport using the knowledge and resources for the development of elec-tromobility worldwide and in the Czech Republic. It further describes the usage in countries whose development affects the electromobility and predicts future devel-opment in the Czech Republic. The possibility of using subsidy titles and state sup-port of electromobility in the Czech Republic is compared to the evaluation of local specifications influencing this development - demands on the distribution system, engineering requirements in the form of partial demands of charging stations (port-folio, service, etc.). At the same time, barriers and support for this life trend are indicated, including the assessment of the pros and cons concerning electric cars in the Czech Republic and in the South Bohemian Region using SWOT analysis and Porter's model. At the end of the paper to support my hypothesis there are used the results of a questionnaire survey among business and non-business residents of the South Bohemian region.
