Program for risk management based on the Annualised Loss Expectancy method

The object of this batchelor thesis was to create a program for managing risks by ALE method. The program is used to calculate the ALE in information systems, focus on medium-sized companies.
Semantic Segmentation in Mountainous Environment

Semantic segmentation is one of classic computer vision problems and strong tool for machine processing and understanding of the scene. In this thesis we use semantic segmentation in mountainous environment. The main motivation of this work is to use semantic segmentation for automatic location of geographic position, where the picture was taken. In this thesis we evaluated actual methods of semantic segmentation and we chose three of them  that are appropriate for adapting to mountainous environment. We split the dataset with mountainous environment into validation, train and test sets to use for training of chosen semantic segmentation methods. We trained models from chosen methods on mountainous data. We let segments from the best trained models get evaluated in electronic survey by respondents and we evaluated these segments in process of camera orientation estimation. We showed that chosen methods of semantic segmentation are possible to use in mountainous environment. Our models are trained on 11, 5 or 4 mountainous classes and the best of them achieve on 4 class mean IU 57.4%. Models are usable in practise. We show it by their deployment as a part of camera orientation estimation process.

Different parameters monitoring by "ALE" and "lager" beer typ

This bachelor thesis monitors changes in selected parameters for these types of beer: "ALE" and "lager". The theoretical part describes general information about beer. In the practical part, beer samples are evaluated empirically and sensory. All tested beers are sold in the Czech Republic and produced by various fermentation methods. In empirical research individual beer samples are assessed according to the volume content of alcohol and according to the extract of the original wort. Sensory evaluation includes appearance, color, taste and smell, frothiness and bitterness. This thesis also includes a consumer survey focused on beer preferences.
Numerical methods for vortex dynamics

Two aspects of solving the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are described in the thesis. The preconditioning of the algebraic systems arising from the Finite Element Method discretization of the Navier-Stokes equations is complex due to the saddle point structure of the resulting algebraic problems. The Pressure Convection Diffusion Reaction and the Least Squares Commutator preconditioners constitute two possible choices studied in the thesis. Solving the flow problems in time-dependent domains requires special numerical methods, such as the Fictitious Boundary method and the Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian formulation of Navier-Stokes equations which are used in the thesis. The problems examined in the thesis are simulations of experiments conducted in liquid Helium at low temperatures. These simulations can be used to establish a relationship between vorticity and new quantity pseudovorticity in an experiment-like setting.
