System for Precise Measurement of Electrical Length of Coaxial Cables
Podr, Michal ; Polívka,, Milan (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes a study of the measuring methods determining the electrical length of coaxial cable without using a vector network analyzer. First, a general theory of management and its various parameters is briefly discussed. This section is focused more specifically on the coaxial cable and its parameters. The next part is graphically analyzed process considerations in the design of measurement methods and outlined the block structure of the system. The third section describes the working process, prototype testing of the bridge, its measurement and design of the measuring system. In the fourth part the software is described. In conclusion, the results of the work are discussed, accuracy of the measurement system, the obtained parameters chosen with regard to the principle of the measurement system and the overall evaluation of the applicability in practice.
Digital oscilloscope with USB interface
Vadinský, Václav ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work deals with design and implementation of hardware and software oscilloscope to a PC. A communication with PC is via USB interface from which is the oscilloscope powered. The oscilloscope is equipped with 2 measuring channels with vertical resolution 12 bits and maximum sampling frequency 80MHz. Any adjustment of parameters is performed using the PC. The work also deals with manner of recording, synchronization of measurements and sending the measured data to PC and its subsequent processing and evaluation.
Effective random number generator for limited devices
Michálek, Tomáš ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This thesis solves the problem of generating random numbers on low-power devices. Author describes possible ways of generating and implements selected generators of (pseudo)random numbers on MSP430F5438A. 4 generators were added by the enhancement of one of them and a new generator was created, using the phenomenon of temperature change in the surroundings. For each generator, test sequences were generated and these sequences were tested by the Dieharder, STS-NIST, and Visual Test. The output of the thesis is the functional implementation of the generators, their testing by statistical methods and their comparison between each other.
Compact datalogger with flash memory
Vágner, Martin ; Hynčica, Ondřej (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of small datalogger with flash memory card. At first are discussed parameters, functions and features of dataloggers. The second part deals with a problem of digital measurement of analog signals. The rest of this thesis gives attention to main goal which is design of datalogger. It consists of circuit diagram, layout of printed circuit board, firmware for microcomputer and software for PC.

Váša, Tomáš ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of battery datalogger with microcontroller MSP430. At first are described several types of dataloggers. The rest of this thesis gives attention to main goal which is design of datalogger. It consists of circuit diagram, layout of printed circuit board, firmware for microcomputer
Realization of Measurement System for Analogue Values with Memory
Sabol, Martin ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with transfering analogue values to digital form. Measuring values are saved with the information about time of measurement into the memory and these are ready to processing in PC. The Measurement system is composited from the main digital circuit, which is connected to measuring channel. Whole designed circuit with program equipment is exactly described in this work.
System for Imaging of the Monochromatic Pictures in the Pseudo Color
Kaděrka, Petr ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Říčný, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis treats the possibilities of the black-white picture depiction in pseudo colors (Pseudocolor). The individual methods, software or hardware are described there and the detailed block scheme of the system Pseudocolor is suggested. The block scheme is created on the basis of gained theoretical knowledge. In the thesis, individual functional blocks of the scheme are described and their circuit designs are realized. Some of the functional blocks are simulated by the PSpice program and accompanied by corresponding signal process data. The suitable choice of the active and passive components is performed, from which the general integration of the system Pseudocolor is made. All the source materials for the realization of the device are given there – double-sided drawing of the printed circuit, layout and specification of the components.
Prototype of Outdoor Computer on the FITkit Platform
Röhrich, Pavel ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
In this thesis is described prototype, which is built on a platform FITkit and is involved in the solderless breadboard. The paper describes how to connect and communication with MSP430 microcontrollers, GPS module, display, MMC card and a temperature sensor. The document also describes a prototype implementation. At the end of the document is dealt with possible extension.
MATLAB/Simulink Model Based Design Using C2000 Microcontrollers
Šoupal, Ondřej ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explore possibilities of rapid control prototyping, describe the concept of creating the software application in MATLAB/Simulink environment with use for development kit Texas instruments LaunchPad and create an application for DC and induction motor control in this environment. This work describes the application for unipolar/bipolar control H-Bridge of power converter for DC motor, measurement of output currents, speed and its displaying in real time using serial control interface. This thesis also desribes scalar and vector control of induction motor. All software applications with measurements are created in MATLAB/Simulink and attached to the thesis.
Digital PIR Motion Detector
Končitík, Peter ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Husák, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with analysis of motion detection through a passive infra-red sensor. The sensor obtains analogue data. Consequently, they are transferred via an analogue digital converter to digital data, which are then evaluated through the designed algorithm. The transmission of signals from the sensor was performed by Arduino Leonardo platform. It communicates with a personal computer via a serial port. The motion is evaluated in the final program according to the threshold figure which is acquired on the basis of the performed tests. In the course of the tests, the sensor was monitoring motion of people and moving objects. The thesis also examines new possibilities of usage of the sensor and it presents the measured data while exposing the sensor to fire and freeze.
