Newe methods used for the finding of fire causes
Přichystal, Lukáš ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Osvald, Josef (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with a determination problem of ignitable liquids from fire debris. The aim of this work is to introduce the properties of used fire accelerants and to give an overview and evaluation of the various techniques which can be conducive to the fire investigator. Determination of fire accelerants from fire debris was made by the technique of solid phase microextraction (SPME) with subsequent chemical analysis by GC/MS. Based on the chromatographic results were established the target compounds and reconstructed ion chromatograms which are typical for some kinds of flammable liquids. There were used gasoline, diesel, kerosene and technical gasoline (white spirit) as the fire accelerants. This work also deals with the influence of interfering products in fire debris analysis, including their identification and characterization. Different kinds of substrates were burned, extracted and analyzed in order to identify all the interfering products that they may release.
Offender profiling and the possibilities for its use in arson cases.
Linhartová, Barbora ; Boukalová, Hedvika (advisor) ; Gillernová, Ilona (referee)
The theme of the thesis is psychological offender profiling and the possibilities that it offers in the investigation of arson cases. First it introduces profiling as an investigation method, including its history, the sources on which it is based, what kind of information it contains and how it is created. Next it follows up the problematic issue of fires, their investigation and the classification of intentionally set fires. It also introduces some particular arsonist offender subtypes. Then it pursues the arson profiling and introduces the main profiling approaches. In the end, the author applies the acquired findings to analyze two arson cases according to the particular profiling approaches and then compares the provided leads to a possible offender.

Problems of behavioral disorders the pupils (students) in school environment, especially the aggressiveness and vexation, the posibilities of their prevention
VONEŠOVÁ, Pavla
This diploma thesis deals with behavioural problems of pupils in a school setting, particularly with aggression and bullying, as well as the possibility of their prevention. It consists of a theoretical part, a practical part, and appendices. The theoretical part treats behavioural problems in pupils, presenting the separate disorders in all their possible forms, accounting for both internal and external factors triggering them, explaining their causes and the conditions under which they occur, and, finally, surveys the possibility of their prevention and treatment. The practical part uses a questionnaire designed by the author of the thesis and discussions conducted in schools to identify the most common types of behavioural disorders. The results of the research are presented in charts and graphs and are complemented by data obtained in the discussions. This part is concluded with a thorough analysis of the data. The appendices contain real-life examples of behavioural problems encountered by teachers, the minimum prevention programme implemented by the basic school in Jistebnice and its evaluation for the school year of 2008/2009, the crisis management scheme of the same school, and additional materials relating to the topic.
