Division with remainders as a diagnostic tool for studying cognitive skills of Czech pupils

This thesis deals with the algorithm of division with a remainder in connection with the development of cognitive abilities of Czech pupils. Due to the usual inclusion of this thematic unit (division with a remainder) in the third year of primary school, theoretically focused chapters dedicated to human ontogenesis, with regard to the child's cognitive development and educational system in the Czech Republic, are incorporated. From the thematic perspective, the work analyzes selected comprehensive series of textbooks for first grade of primary school, differentiating the exercises from propaedeutic through an introduction and application to non-standard tasks. Thesis examines the commonalities and differences in the concept of the analyzed textbooks by various authors. One of the criteria is the evaluation of approach to teaching based on identifying elements of constructivism or transmission. Another objective of the work is a research of selected problem-solving strategies of students dealing with tasks comprising division with a remainder. Solution methods were obtained by assigning of diagnostic test to pupils of a first grade of primary school. Development of reading skills by motivational activities - using tablets

This dissertation focuses on development of reading skills in teaching Czech language on the first grade of elementary schools with application of motivation effect of modern technologies. The thesis focuses mainly on usage of tablets as the latest technology, which currently begins to be used in classes of the elementary schools. In the theoretical part, I apply terms such as reading skill, reading literacy, motivation, and motivate activities. I present methods for teaching reading and describe individual modern technologies that are used in teaching. The goal of this dissertation is to show by what manners may be the tablets applied in the teaching. One section of the practical part is a collection of applications that can be used for development of reading skills. Furthermore, I introduce how the work looks in a class with the tablets by description of sample lessons and I compare it with the work which does not use the modern technologies. Pupil of a primary school and his/her social status in the classroom

This thesis has theoretical and research character. The theoretical part deals with general theoretical foundations and bases of relating to pupil primary school and his/her social position in the class. The practical focus of the project, which aims to improve relations in the team and help pupils who are not satisfied with their social status in class, get a better position.
Iva Prochazkova: literatury work by methods of drama education

The Abstract My dissertation is dedicated to a characteristic of pupils of primary school age from the point of developmental psychology and mutual relation of this age group and the reading in its teoretical part. The importan part of dissertation are the chapters which are aimed to well- marked personality of our literature Mrs. Iva Procházková. There is an analysis of Prochazkova's creation in my dissertation too. There is a more detailed characteristic of three chosen tituls - Pět minut před večeří, Středa nám chutná, Únos domů in teoretical part. And this part looks into mutual relation between dramatic education and literature. The target of my research is to prove the suitability of chosen chapters for the work in dramatic education. There are analysis of these literature patterns from education's view in the practical part. These titules are made as the projects of teaching lessons.
Cube nets as a tool for the development of geometrical thinking of primary school pupils

The diploma theses deals with the koncept of cube net and its use with the primary schoul pupils. More closely it considers creation and application of tasks suitable for natural grasp of the subject for younger students. The conclusions are based both on the outcomes of the experiments with the pupils and on the assesment of author's believes in the course of work on the diploma theses.

The thesis deals with the relationship between a pupil's classroom status and his academic results. The conclusions are based on the results of research of primary school pupils.
Work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendence

This thesis deals with the laterality and the ways of diagnosis at children. It is divided into three parts - theoretical, practical and appendixes. The theoretical part deals with laterality, methods of diagnostic and methodology of work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendance. The aim of research in the practical part of the thesis was to find information about working with left-handed pupils between the students of primary teaching and teachers in practise. The appendixes of this thesis include the questionnaires used for the practical part of the thesis and worksheets for pupils to relax their hand while writing.
Climate of a school class

Precis The diploma paper is concentrated on the subject of a school class climate and the related occurrence of bullying in various types of primary schools. Its theoretical part deals with the description and definition of the main topics: the classroom climate and the bullying in classroom. At the same time it focuses on the description of a student, teacher and their relationship; description of the display and prevention of bullying and last but not least it presents the conception of an alternative school. The practical part deals with research among the students as well as the teachers, with the goal to find out what the climate in the classroom is, to which degree bullying occurs, how much is education about abuse and bullying emphasised and what is the relationship between a student and a teacher. It simultaneously compares the unanimity of views between the student and the teacher on the given topic. In order to gain the needed data, students were given a questionnaire and a semi-standardised interview was carried out with the teachers.
Educationen environment of a classroom

The diploma thesis targets the education environment of a primary school classroom and research is focused on its social and physical environment. The theoretical part describes physical and social environment of classroom and briefly describes basic methods that are used for research psychosocial environment of classroom. The practical part details the research of actual social climate in classroom realized by using standardized questionare My Class Inventory - Actual form and physical environment using author's original questionare, which was created for the purpose of this work. The work also includes description and evaluation of acquired results. Finally, the conclusions are formed and discussed.
Communication competencies of students with speech impediments.

This diploma thesis focuses on the communication competence of young learners with speech impediments. The theoretical part describes the development of young learners at primary school, speech ontogenesis from the child´s birth to their entering the first class. Then there is also analyzed communication and related communicative competence. Another section focuses on speech disorders, their classification. It is important to mention the prevention of speech therapy and the subsequent development of communication skills. The practical part is focused on research to determine the influence of defects on the level of speech communication skills of young pupils. This section is based on information obtained through interviews with teachers and five selected students´ parents at the basic school of speech therapy and the analysis of governesses and teachers´ diaries. The resulting data is recorded in case reports, tables and graphs.
