Implementation of Health and Safety Education in a Elementary School with Small Classes

The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a research part. In the theoretical part, I define concepts such as implementation, health, and health education. I focus on the area of Child and Its Body, which is included and specified in the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education. Furthermore, I describe the concept of health education in preschools. I also cover the area of Human and Its World, specifically the field of Human and Its Health, which is included in the Framework Educational Program for Primary Education, at the first stage. I discuss small rural schools and finally, I write about safety in the school environment. The second part is focused on the analysis in the field of health education, specifically - the school educational program, the school preventive program, and the annual report of Sloup v Čechách Primary and Nursery School. Based on the conducted analysis, suggestions for improvements in the researched area will be formulated. One of the partial goals is the subjective evaluation of the feeling of safety at school, i.e., to determine whether students and staff feel safe at school and how they protect their health and safety. Risk behaviour of pupils at SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou

The diploma thesis deals with risk behavior of pupils of SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou. The aim of this work is primarily to find out what risk behavior is actually occurring at SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou, whether pupils themselves are aware of how the school attempts to prevent the occurrence of this undesirable behavior, and what is used to eliminate the risk behavior of pupils. It reveals how risk behaviors are treated in the school's basic documents and how this behavior is being prevented. It deals with the functioning of the school counseling center and the work of class teachers. Methods used for this work are document study, focus group and interviews. Observation is an additional method. Research shows that the most common risk behaviors are truancy, substance abuse, bullying and cyberbullying, aggression in the form of vandalism and vulgarism. Based on the study of school documents, it recommends possible ways of making the work of the school counseling center more effective, primary and secondary prevention at school, class teacher's work, and class lessons. Development of the national cultural identity, traditions and values in the subject of Czech language at elementary schools

This thesis examines changes and evolvement in conceptual notions of nationalism and national identity from the beginning of the 19th century until present. The thesis is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part delineates the concepts of nation, national identity and attempts to characterize Czech national identity. Further, it explores the notion in the context of socio-political transformations in our motherland. Moreover, this section looks at notions of education and patriotic education and the way such education was exercised in schools in particular historical periods. The study also concentrates on the concept of mother tongue and its role in building Czech national identity. Comparison of various ways the relationship towards mother tongue in various types of primary schools in this and last century is likewise offered. The practical part consists of two research segments. The first one analyzes various curricula, school material and textbooks from the beginning of the last century until present with emphasis on patriotic education.
