Horáček, Jiří ; Čermák, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Freidingerová, Tereza (referee)
Vietnamese food stores are located all over the Czechia and are often the only option for food purchases in non-metropolitan areas. This dissertation is focused on the study of Vietnamese retail in the context of the problems of serviceability of small towns and rural settlements in the Czechia. One of the main goals of this dissertation is to verify whether Vietnamese businesses are one of the ways to save the ever-falling rural service functions. Considering that the issue of rural service provision is an extensive topic, the work only yields partial results that will need to be verified in further studies. The introductory sections analyze the processes of Vietnamese migration into our country and subsequently characterize the development of retail. The next part focuses on the operation of Vietnamese retail where structured interviews conducted within the research serve as a main source of information. Hrabák, Jiří
The dissertation deals with the concepts of multifunctional agriculture in the context of transformations of Czech agriculture in the post-communist era. In general, the study mainly wanted to discuss the concepts of multifunctional agriculture, known for over three decades, especially from the Anglo-Saxon environment, and to analyse the development of Czech agriculture as well as application of multifunctional agriculture especially in the period after Czechia's joining the European Union, including the perception of multifunctional activities by farmers. The initial part of the study discusses the concepts of multifunctional agriculture as non-commodity production (OECD 2001) and an integral part of rural development (Van der Ploeg, Roep 2003) on the one hand and of agricultural multifunctionality (Wilson 2007), on the other. The empirical part of the work was based on a quantitative assessment of regional differentiation of multifunctional agriculture in Czechia, the territorial concentration of multifunctional activities and dependence between the variables that influence its implementation. The evaluation of the perception of multifunctional activities by farmers has resulted from a field survey, or interviews conducted with farmers in three areas of interest of various types (municipality...

Bajgarová, Barbora ; MORAVEC, Václav (advisor) ; Horák, Petr (referee)
With the beginning of this millennium, the fast progress of digital technologies and increasing possibilities of on-line distribution of content have substantially changed the character of the audio-visual production. Next to professional film and television content, where the border between producers and consumers is strictly divided, the new direction of “user videos” has developed due to the reduction of costs and easy access to the production and distribution of audio-visual content to the wide public. With their increasing popularity, these videos started to be more professional and commercialized in their turn, which lead to the creation of internet-only televisions financed by advertising. In this diploma thesis, I will analyse internet televisions with original professional video content in the context of Czech market. What did they develop from? Which aspects are specific for the Czech context? What is specific for particular programs, and what problems could arise in the future?
