Attachment influence on consumer´s advertisement preference
MAŠEK, Štěpán
The bachelory thesis deals with the interconnection of the attachment theory and advertisement. The theoretical part of the work consists of the definition of basic theoretical grounds of attachment in childhood and adulthood, advertising and their subsequent description. The main objective of the empirical part was to determine the relation between attachment styles and consumer evaluations of ads. Another objective was to explore the possible relation between the dimensions of attachment theory (i.e. anxiety and avoidance) and evaluation of ads. For the empirical part it was chosen a quantitative research design. The research sample consisted of data from 91 respondents in the age range 19-26 years. There were used two questionnaires - RAAS (Revised Adult Attachment Scale) for detecting the attachment style of the individual and our own questionnaire for evaluation of ads. It was found that individuals with high anxiety are likely to evaluate (on the scales of liking, perceived attractiveness and purchase likelihood) more positively products in non-relational ads. Conversely, results show no significant differences in evaluation of ads by attachment styles. Research also showed that there is no significant relationship between avoidance and evaluation of the ads.
Anxiety an Fear at School
Rybářová, Kateřina ; Komárková, Tereza (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Daniela (referee)
The objective of this thesis "Anxiety And Fear At School" is to further reasearch how and when teachers feel ready and able to recognize an anxious child at school and as well to be able to work with a child whose anxiety may be caused by a specific situation at school. The thesis researches school as a potential source of anxiety and fear and describes specific situations which may cause or contribute to this phenomenon. In addition, a current issue which is outlined in the text is pedagogical-psychological diagnostics and related diagnostic competence of teachers. Theoretical findings are supported by research conducted amongst teachers. Two case studies of students which have experienced fear and anxiety at school, connected to specific school situations are provided. These case studies observe the solutions in those situations, as well as the impact of the experience on the students in question. The education of teachers at universities in the field of pedagogical-psychological diagnosis can in certain cases be insufficient and sometimes can also be difficult to apply in real life situations. This can lead to some situations of an anxious child at school being dealt with intuitively rather than professionally. The availability of electronic information can provide untrained teachers with a...
Signals of anxiety in drawings of primary school children
ČERNÁ, Adéla
This bachelor thesis deals with the extent of using drawing techniques as indicative screening method for detecting increased level of anxiety and anxiousness of primary school children. The basic terminology such as anxiousness, anxiety and fear are defined in the theoretical part. The thesis focuses on the issue of anxiety and anxiousness of children attending primary schools as well as on using children's drawings as a diagnostic tool with an orientation on human body drawing. Signs of anxiety are described from different point of view of several authors in the last chapter. These signs will be further examined in the practical part. A scale for measuring degree of anxiety and anxiousness was used in the practical part. This scale served as a tool for dividing respondents into three groups. The aim of the survey was to find out the differences in human body drawing tests among respondents of different degrees of anxiety. The groups were compared in these human body drawing tests according to specific defined signs of anxiety. The results of the thesis could support measurability of anxiety signs and usage of drawing techniques in the area of children psychodiagnosis.
The influence of co-sleeping on future anxiety of children
VÍTKOVÁ, Martina
This bachelor´s theses discusses the social aspect of falling asleep and sleaping druring the early child developement and their influence on the future anxiety of a child. It is focused maily on the phenomena of co-sleeping, basic anxiety, basic trust and on their mutual interaction influencing a developement of a person. The theoretical part offers an essential knowlidge about the mentioned phenomenas. Furthemore, it is to be found there the description of several international studies available. The empiric section was focused on the exploration of practising co-sleeping and its influence on many areas such as the developement of a trait anxiety during the childhod, a basic trust, a secure base, the feelig of an alienation and an insecure attachemet. The total lenght of a practised co-sleeping was also considered according to the theoretical knowledge which defines the ideal co-sleeping time from 0 to 2 years of a baby. The sample (n=101) included the pairs of a primary caregiver and a child, the age of children in the sample was specified from 9 to 12 years (9 and 12 included). For a data collection the translated version of SCARED questionnaire, the czech version of IPPA questionnaire and a custom initial questionnaire were used. The mathematical and statistical analyses was performed via Statistika 10 program, both of the parametric and a non-parametric testing were used (t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson´s correlation coeficient, Spearman´s rho). There were 4 hypoteses defined at the beggining. Anyway, none of them could be validated due to the statistic results. The causes and limits of this conclusion are finally summarized in the discussion.
The concept of anxiety from the perspective of Karen Horney theory
STRŽÍNKOVÁ, Kateřina
This thesis focuses on the verification of relationship between anxiety and early attachment patterns in a population of young adults. Additionally, it serves as a pilot research for a set of unfinished sentences, which was created by the thesis author, and is based on theoretical constructs Karen Horney and is used to detect neurotic attitudes. In the theoretical part of the thesis, there are several topics specified, such as anguish, anxiety neurosis and views of psychological theories on these issues with special emphasis on the theory of Karen Horney. It also elaborates the issue of early attachment, neurobiological background and attachment in adulthood. In the empirical part a mixed research was carried out. The focus of the research was on anxiety, attachment and neurotic attitudes of a sample of 41 people. Anxiety and attachment are administered quantitatively. Neurotic attitudes are revealed qualitatively, based on a set of unfinished sentences. The results did not confirm the liaison of anxiety with patterns of attachment to the mother, but confirmed the connection between anxiety and patterns of attachment to the father. Neurotic attitudes acquired on the basis of unfinished sentences correspond with the level of anxiety, in the formula of emotional ties, it is less visible. Nevertheless, the method seems to be an suitable supplementary tool in the detection and treatment of neurotic beliefs and attitudes.
Qualitative research on methods used for stress-release of anxious children practiced by kindergarten teachers.
FOJTÍKOVÁ, Kristýna
The main aim of my research was to find out and describe the methods which are used to calm down and relax anxious children in kindergartens. In the theoretical part I described elementary psychological topics which are a base for understandingproblems of origins, symptoms and consequences of preschool children's anxiety. This part includes description of educational parental approaches and their possible impact on the rise and development of the child's anxiety. At the end of this part there's a brief excursus concerning the meaning of fairy-tales, especially from the psycho-analytical point of view. In the methodological part I tried to explain the used methods of my research: grounded theory , involved observation, half-structured interview and the ways of its cosiny. In the research part I developed the analysis of interviews in the concerned chapters. The main meaning lies in description of the methods and approaches used by teachers to achieve positive change in feelings of an anxious child. I extend my findings with a brief characteristics and impact of specific methods which are used by teachers to calm down and relax children in kindergartens. In conclusion I summarized the key facts. These facts cocern both general and specific methods which can help an anxious child cope with his anxiety and support his personal development.
