Drop-out of the beginning teachers

The Diploma thesis focuses on the drop-out of beginning teachers. Theoretical part elaborates on the phenomenon of drop-out, it describes the reasons why the beginning teachers leave and why they are the group of teachers which is the most threatened by drop-out. Furthermore, this part describes problems that beginning teachers have to deal with and the most frequent reasons for leaving the profession, their rate and consequences of drop-out. The end of the theoretical part presents options and suggestions that would help solve this problem. The empirical part of the thesis is realized by an on-line questionnaire and in-depth interviews. The research focuses on four main aspects: 1 - the motivation to study the teaching and to practise it, 2 - the main reasons for new teachers to leave, 3 - the possibilities to prevent drop-out and 4 - whether the respondents continue to work with children or not. Last but not least, the research focuses on the possibilities that would help respondents to stay in the profession. The results of the research confirm the reasons for quiting as described by literature. The qualitative description of the reasons for drop-outs provides a deeper understanding of how they interact in an institutional, interactive and cultural level. Health literacy of pupils of secondary school practical

The diploma thesis is focused on the education of pupils with mild mental disorders. The aim of the thesis is to find out what is the health literacy of pupils with mild mental disorders attending the second degree of elementary school. The theoretical part is devoted to the concept of health, health literacy, health education. It introduces health determinants and deals with health prevention. It further characterizes, defines, describes and classifies mental disorders and describes the educational and personality characteristics of pupils with mild mental disorders. It thoroughly describes educational specialization called health education. The practical part introduces goals of the diploma thesis. It contains a research survey which verifies the theoretical and practical knowledge of pupils in the educational specialization called health education. Research has confirmed that more than half of pupils have theoretical knowledge and apply them in practical life. The research was conducted in the form of an interview. At the end of the thesis there are recommendations for pedagogical practice. Health and quality of life of teachers in elementary school

This thesis deals with the health and quality of life of elementary school teachers. The aim of this thesis is to provide informations on selected aspects of the health and quality of life of teachers. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and research part. For the collection of data of research part was used the questionnaire method. The questionnaire verifies assumptions that have been drawn up on the basis of practical experience from the teacher's work. Some assumptions have been confirmed, others have not. At the end of the research, suggestions for a practice responding to the survey results are presented. Diploma thesis deal with health and healthy lifestyle and is focused on nutrition and eating older school pupils. The theoreticial part of the thesis is focused on key concepts of the topic, that is health and healthy lifestyle, the thesis deals with the topic of nutrition related to health, eating habits, body weight - malnutrition, overweight and obesity. The thesis is focused for eating in school canteens. The main goal of the thesis was using the survey questionnaire to analyze of attitudes of pupils at primary school doctors Františka Ladislava Riegra in Semily in terms of healthy lifestyle and eating habits. Another goal was the assessment of school meals in school canteens and the observation of pupils during meals at the primary school.
