Web application for file encryption
Tatar, Martin ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on developing a web application for file encryption. In the theoretical part symmetric encryption algorithms are divided into block ciphers and stream ciphers. Selected ciphers are described and their properties are compared. Then the modes of operation for block ciphers are described. The developed application encrypts both files and text inputs by the selected algorithm and can operate in various modes of operation. In addition to this functionality the application is supplemented with descriptions of available ciphers and modes of operation.
Network infrastructure design
Tobolka, Lukáš ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to look at the design of network infrastructure in practice. There are individual procedures, brands, standards that must be followed when designing. It includes a brief general overview of terminal elements, cable systems and related matters. In general, methods for measuring optical lines and parameters for measuring metallic networks are described here. The possible complications that accompany it are briefly described in the implementation. The network design methodology is also described here on the example of a specific object. Before the actual handover of the work, the entire infrastructure is analyzed and measured with output protocols within the certification of the entire system together with outputs in the form of a measurement protocol.
IoT WiFi soil moisture and temperature sensor
Kostelanská, Alžbeta ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis addresses the subject of IoT WiFi soil moisture sensor and temperature sensor based on ESP32 platform. The primary focus of the design is on low power consumption of the device and secure communication. The theoretical part of the thesis describes selected types of sensors which can be used for the designed device. The ESP32 module and some of its features are also introduced. Lastly selected communication protocols which are suitable for IoT applications and can be used with WiFi peripheral are discussed. The practical part of the bachelor thesis deals with hardware design of the sensor device and implementation of this design. Low power consumption is implemented in hardware and in software solution. The focus is on independence of the device and secure communication and data protection. Lastly the concept of webserver used for storing and processing collected data on RaspberryPi platform and concept of sending the measured data to the end-user are introduced.
Financial leasing versus bank loan in determination purchase of effects
Štoková, Soňa ; Gargošová, Jarmila (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The main goal of this study is to compare two forms of asset financing i.e. leasing and bank lending. At the very beginning, there is a description of leasing, its history, benefits and disadvantages. Second part of the project provides definition of bank lending as a source of financing. The third part of the study compares either of financing options through discounted cash flow method patterned after a practical example. Finally, there is an evaluation of options and financial analysis so I”ll be able to find out the impact on the company.
Personal loans - debt collection
Bažantová, Alena ; Tobiášek, Miroslav (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The name of the work is Personal loans - debt collection. This work analyses effectivity of requisition outstandings in CSOB and credit process and searching ways out based especially on effectiveness of proces model in area of administration personal loans in CSOB.
Privacy Preserving Cryptographic Protocols for Secure Heterogeneous Networks
Virtual Currencies
Mlýnková, Veronika ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of virtual currencies based on the blockchain technology. The foundations of the cryptocurrency workings are explained on cryptocurrency Bitcoin, which is later described in a greater detail from technological point of view. In addition to the general workings of a bitcoin network, this thesis describes creation of bitcoin addresses, the composition of transactions and the way they are sign and verified. A broader view of cryptocurrencies is offered within the fourth chapter, with the classification into generations and explanation of terms coin, token and stable coin. Chapter Ethereum explains the meaning of smart contracts and decentralized applications. Within the thesis a laboratory task was performed, which describes the procedure for programming a simplified version of blockchain in Python. To summarize the discussed topic, an educational web application was created.
A portal to support the teaching of applied cryptography
Vojáčková, Veronika ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Cryptography has a rich history, ranging from ancient civilizations to modern times, ensuring confidentiality and security has always played a very important role. In order to understand these algorithms, however, it is necessary to understand the basics of this issue, which can be a very difficult task without comprehensive resources. The thesis first examines web portals dealing with cryptography on the Czech and foreign Internet. Next, it compiles all the necessary knowledge for the subject of applied cryptography. As part of the work, a web portal is created bringing together the necessary information to support teaching along with a practical demonstration of algorithms and their use in the Python programming language.
Random number generators evaluation
Svoboda, Martin ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is random numbers and the problem of their testing. The thesis presents methods of generating random numbers and many statistical tests of randomness. Part of the work is a description of an application created for testing random numbers, which contains a set of 23 statistical tests of randomness and 5 integrated generators. In the last chapter, various types of generators and keys created by quantum key distribution are tested using the application.
Cryptographic coprocessors for IoT microcontrollers communication protection
Český, Michal ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis outlines the issue of how communication can be secured within the IoT. The microcontroller itself can also be used for this purpose, however, security will never be assured as it will be when using a hardware cryptographic co-processor. To generate the keys and certificate, the ATECC608B coprocessor is chosen which holds the necessary "secrets" used to secure the communication. As a demonstration of the cryptographic coprocessor functionality, the ESP32 microcontroller is connected to the AWS server where all the connections to the server are established using the cryptographic coprocessor.
