Childbirth from Men's Perspectives

The diploma thesis deals with men's presence at childbirth. The aim of this work is to give a voice to men - fathers to tell the birth stories from their perspective. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a theoretical framework for the analysis of the construction of identities, the repertoires of fatherhood and gender relations in the family and presents a feminist critique of the childbirth discourses. The empirical part discusses methodology and methods of the research and includes the analysis of narrative interviews with fifteen fathers who were present at birth. The research of this diploma thesis answers following questions: how men talk about the experience of childbirth, how they construct their masculine identity and how they relate to fatherhood (parenthood) during narration. The aim of the research is also to identify their reasons for being present at childbirth, the roles they play at childbirth, and the importance they assign to this event. The Importance of Self-Assessment in the Pupil's Personality Development (With Consideration to Other Motivational Factors)

This bachelor thesis "The Importance of Self-Assessment in the Pupil's Personality Development (With Consideration to Other Motivational Factors)" is divided into three parts. First it deals with general questions of the pupil's personality development and aims at seven kinds of heed according to Helus (2009). These are vital for personality development of each child. The second chapter is focused on self-reflection as one of the chosen factors and summarizes the findings about this topic. It presents an extensive terminology which is associated with the concept of self-reflection and personality development. It reminds the idea of adequate self-reflection, development of self-concept and self-regulation. The third chapter aims at family and school as the two basic influences in the child's development of self- concept. It mentions parents' expectations and adequacy of requirements and their influence on the self-concept development and it also deals with possibilities of development at school. In the final part it underlines the importance of self-reflection for personality development. Key words Personality development, self-reflection, autoregulation, self-concept, family, school
The perception of the importance of mathematics and physics by grammar schools students

The thesis maps the subjective meaning ascribed to the terms of mathematics and physics by students of secondary schools in České Budějovice. We investigate whether the perception of these tems is influenced by the offer of non-formal education. Main part of thesis is based on research supported by theoretical findings. The theoretical part deals with mathematics and physics in formal and non-formal education, describes the offer of informal education at high schools selected by us and we also describe there the semantic differential method used by us, which is proven in exploring connotative meanings of terms. In the practical part of the work we describe a project of empirical research in detail, the process of data collection and in conclusion, we describe the results obtained.

Children's choirs on the Jindřichův Hradec region

Theme of thesis is "Children's choirs in area of Jindřichohradecko"and it is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part presents history of choirs, types of choirs and choirmaster. The next part is dealing with voice, characteristic of age groups of choir members and also choir as a social group. At the end of theoretical part there is a chapter about Jindřichohradecko and its important personalities who lived there. Practical part is focused on description of children's choirs in Jindřichohradecko.
