Assessing Selected Indicators Using Statistical Methods

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of selected financial indicators for the company Teknia Uherský Brod, a. s. The calculated financial indicators are further subjected to time series analysis and their future development for the next two years is determined by regression analysis. Furthermore, the financial indicators are compared with the financial indicators of the competing company. In the end there are proposed solutions for improving the company’s situation based on the results of the analysis.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is financial analysis of Avon Cosmetics, s. r. o. for the period 2011-2015. The work is divided into two main parts: theoretical and practical. The first one is focused on the theory of financial analysis. It describes the subject of financial analysis, users, resources and methodology used by the financial analysis. The subject of the second part is the presentation of the selected company and the financial analysis itself. The first is the horizontal and vertical analysis, the ratios are calculated and the conclusion is the forecast of financial distress. Význam evropských obchodních cest a jejich vazby k turismu

This diploma thesis is focused on the importance of European trade routes and their links to tourism. It is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The first part is a processed literary review on the history and development of ancient trade routes, as well as the development of trails in selected area, the development of transport and the oldest ways of traveling. The second part deals with selected Amber trail (specifically Břeclavská route in eastern Moravia), which is considered the most famous and oldest trail in our area. The methods characterizes Břeclavská route Amber trail, landscape-ecological context and the used method, which is SWOT analysis. Next part contains the results obtained by the SWOT analysis, which describes the most important outputs regarding the Břeclavská route.

The development of the family policy in the Czech Republic and its current form

The bachelor work presents the development of family policy in the Czech Republic and its current form. At first, it describes the family and its importance to the society. Secondly, it introduces the current Czech family from the socio-demographic point of view and its changes in the last twenty years. After that, this work defines the term of family policy and specifies types of the governmental interventions to support family life in the Czech Republic. The next part of this work shows how the governmental helping system for families originated. It studies the development of the family policy from the origin of independent Czechoslovakia to year 1989. The description of the development of selected financial stimuli related to this issue is stressed. Their development after 1989 is analyzed in the following, final, chapter. It also introduces the attitude of the state to a family after 1989 and mentions the basic documents of governmental policy towards families.

Testing of success of fundamental analysis methods in selected sectors

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the theoretical and practical aspects of fundamental analysis. The thesis is divided into three main parts in which global analysis and sector analysis is gradually performed and in the last part a valuation of selected equities is performed. Emphasis is placed on the financial sector and manufacturing of tobacco products. In the financial sector the equities of Komerční banka and Erste Bank Group are analyzed and the representative of manufacturing of tobacco products is Philip Morris ČR. After determining the intrinsic value of the shares by several methods, their market position is concluded. Finally, the success of the chosen methods is evaluated.

Banking risks and their interactions on the example of Czech banking

This bachelor thesis deals with banking risks. It briefly describes the development of the concept of capital adequacy up to the current version of Basel II, which is supplemented by operational risk and which also clarified the method of credit risk management. Selected types of risks and the fundamentals of risk measurement and management are described. It is a credit, liquidity, market, and operational risk and relations between them. Conclusion of thesis is devoted to operational risk measurement and loss distribution approach (LDA).
