Media and its effect on the learning process in a web application

The thesis concentrates on the utilization of multimedia in the learning process. For this purpose, information about memory function, media, multimedia transmission and perception and the interaction and gamification theories are synthesised. In the practical part of the thesis, a pair of educational web applications will be analysed, based on the comparison with the common quality of internet courses and specified criteria. Four main areas of interest are established for this assessment, based on the study of cognitive processes, pedagogics, communication theory and the principles of gamification. The aim of this thesis is to provide recommendations for an ongoing development of an eLearning project.
Analysis of communication and sport institutions media plan draft

Centre for Physical Education and Sport is an important department operating under the University of Economics in Prague, where it has been providing physical education for over 60 years. The aim of this work is to compare the communications mix and visual stylization of CTVS with organizations with similar characteristics from profit and non-profit sectors. The analysis will be based on an evaluation of methods and effectiveness of CTVS communication and image and will draw inspiration for the overall promotion change. Furthermore, the aim is to prepare documentation for creating media plans in this field of industry by comparing prices and suitability for the target group. The outcome of this bachelor thesis should be a new proposal of standardized design of communication strategy including graphic design and media plan easily usable by all CTVS employees. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part explains terms such as communication, communications mix, communications mix of sport institutions, integrated communication, visual information processing, media and their advantages, disadvantages and planning. Practical part is based on the theoretical part and includes analysis of sports institutions concerning all these aspects. In the final section the whole research will be applied to CTVS and accompanied by recommendations for improvements.
Production and normative restrictions of multimedia events

This bachelor thesis deals with an cultural event production chain and its normative restrictions. The theoretical part includes a basic and structured description of an event production chain, there is also a coherent summary of basic normative restrictions of an event production. The practical part includes a description of the production chain application to the multimedia exposition Multimedia Display, emphasizing its normative restrictions. There is made an evaluation of the exposition, primarily its production, in the end.
Promotion and financing of multimedia festival

The topic of my thesis is the promotion and financing of multimedia festival. The work consists of two parts: theoretical and practical-analytical. The first section describes the concepts and theoretical knowledge of multimedia environment, festivals, marke-ting and funding of festivals. The analytical part is the analysis of multimedia festivals in the Czech Republic and their form of promotion. In the practical part introduces multimédia festival Winston Econ Art (WEA), which is or-ganized by the staff of GML and students of Multimedia in economic practice. Lay-ing the basics of organization and financing of the festival, which will be applied in practice in organizing WEA 2014. Entire work is finished proposals of promotion and effective communication for the festival this year.
Communication and presentation skills

This bachelor thesis deals with individual factors of communication and basic presentations skills. The theoretical part specifies the basic elements of verbal and non-verbal communication and basic factors connected with preparation and realisation of a presentation. The practical part of the thesis comprises an analysis of impacts of speaker's visual and other communication influences over an audience. The results are applied to a Multimedia Display exhibition taking place during the bachelor's seminar.
Web services for e-commerce support in Czech Republic

Thesis describes models and usage of e-services to support e-commerce. Services are di-vided according to their areas of application. Their characteristics are described from both the business and from the integration point of view. The objectives of thesis are divided into two areas: The first area is the market analysis of selected e-services of third parties to support e-commerce business in the Czech Republic in area of SME that can be supported by web services. The second area is simplified case study of the real deployment of selected services for real e-commerce solution. The work summarizes integration of services and analyzing their impact on the business.
Online communication of startups

This thesis deals with a plan of marketing strategy for Psaní Hravě project. The main objective is to suggest a communication strategy and show practical utilization of social media. The first chapter describes communication of successful Czech startups. The second chapter comments on possibilities of social media. Subsequently I explore utilization for brands, especially for SMEs and online projects. The third chapter introduces Psaní Hravě project, its image and target group. In the last chapter I create a practical plan of social media for Psaní Hravě, I focus especially on Facebook strategy.
Implementation of HTML5 and CSS3

This bachelor thesis is focused on testing and analysing HTML5 and CSS3. These programming languages are two most common languages for webdesign and webdeveloping. Theory part of this thesis introduces topic about the historical and current language specification. This part also explains role of CSS3 in conjuction with HTML5. In the main part, author defines common problems in coding, which are used for questionnaire research after that. The questionnaire itself is then created in the practical part. Questionnaire will be used for hypothes testing of statistic influence of defined measures. After that, ten elements will be chosen, which will be analysed and tested. At the end, the author measures advantages and disadvantage in using specific elements of these specifications.
Dog in advertising and marketing

This bachelor thesis deals with dog in advertising and marketing. There are explained the main points across disciplines in the first theoretical part, such as marketing, advertising, psychology or the dog impact on humans. The practical part contains three advertisements with dog in them followed by marketing communication analysis of profit and non-profit organizations. Then there is a real marketing campaign, which I did for a non-profit organization -- shelter in Krásný Les near Frýdlant.
Creating and managing online translation agency

The aim of this thesis is to carry out a business process model and user interface of an online translation agency that is capable of competition on a global marketplace. The business process model has been designed through analysing the main competitors and modifying their approach and mechanisms. The user interface has been created using and implementing time-proven principles of graphic design. The main result of this thesis is a functioning and competitive business process model of an online translation agency.
