Cognitive Functions Assessment of Patients in Senior Age, Special Tests

My Bachelor thesis deals with examination of cognitive functions at seniors by specialized tests. This study focuses on two screening tests finding a state of cognitive functions. These tests are MMSE (Mini Mental State Examination) and MEAMS (The Middlesex Elderly Assessment of Mental State). My objective was examination of both the tests on a group of seniors, to find out positives and negatives of each test, to analyze them and to get information about what the test reveals a particular person. Collection of data took place at institution for seniors during my five weeks long practice. My other objective was creation of anonymous questionnaire for ergonomic therapists in the Czech Republic which was supposed to map awareness of the test MEAMS and its method of examination of cognitive functions.. The theoretical part gives information about particular tests, cognitive functions, types of dementia at seniors most often existing and explains concepts like aging, old age, aging of population. In the practical part there is methodology of casuistry of three seniors at who both screening tests were performed. Then there are results of the questionnaire for ergonomic therapists and in the end there is shown the connection between the questionnaire and the casuistries. Multicultural theory. The relationship between ethics and the concept of authenticity

This bachelor's thesis deals with the theories of Charles Taylor, his social and political theory and its moral foundation. The thesis focuses on the questions of multiculturalism and the influence of ethics of authenticity upon them. It is divided into three essential parts. First part is devoted to the ethics of authenticity, the defects of contemporary society and the formation of modern identity. The next provides a closer look into the position of the author in the multicultural discussion, and the last part analyses the politics of recognition with its two parts, politics of universalism and politics of difference. The conclusion answers the question how the ethics of authenticity influences Taylor's view of multi-culturalism.

Dissertation is about one task of personal control - communication, feedback and personal policy. Theoretic part includes informations about personal control and its components. One chapter discuss of feedback. Definition of feedback meaning, availability of its providing and receiving. Communication and its related theme of conflict appears here. Communication is getting into inner-firm communication. The end of dissertation includes communications and feedback exercises of working experience. The practical part is oriented into two parts - on status compare of personal policy in organisation in 4 years interval and communication inside the organisation in one department. Communication status and its estimation results in recommended proposal, which is centered into more professional work in department and develop one aspect of presonal control - communication using of feedback.

The main goal of this dissertation thesis has been defined as the development and presentation of a model designed to show transparency of different effects of tourism in urban destinations and its practical application by destination management organizations. The resident sub-model was compiled, based on research in the selected destination as well as its statistical evaluation. This sub-model clearly demonstrates relationships that affect tourism. This decision model was focused on the socio-economic effects, primarily generated by residents, which influence tourists and basically tourism in urban destinations. The resident sub-model was subsequently incorporated into another decision model of the sustainable destination to show the resident influence on objective economic factors generated by tourism in urban destinations. These two models clearly illustrate how complicated system is the behaviour of residents and which significant negative / positive effects on tourism can generate. For the development of this solution system thinking was used as the main methodological approach. System thinking has been actually rarely used, but it is very effective method, because it can reveal complexity of diverse relationships and find possibilities how to influence and control these relationships; in this case by destination management organizations. This solution is intended primarily for these tourism institutions. This method was intentionally simplified to be applicable by the local organizations. However, it retains high level of efficiency, which can bring required objectivity in very subjective relationships between residents, tourist and basically tourism at urban destinations.
