Mass Size Distribution of Water Soluble Ions in Prague and Wiena in Summer
Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Vodička, Petr ; Zíková, Naděžda ; Hitzenberger, R.
Aerosol mass size distribution is a key factor that influences aerosol behavior both on local (health effects, visibility) and global (global warming) level. The content of water soluble ions is the most important factor controlling hygroscopic behavior of aerosol particles. Hygroscopicity is a substantial parameter for particle deposition in lungs, particle – cloud interactions, aerosol optical effects etc. Therefore we studied size distribution of water soluble ions in two Central European capitals – Prague and Vienna. In this work, the results from summer campaigns are presented.

Behaviour driven development
Vodička, Petr ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (referee)
This bachelor's thesis discusses the topic of an agile approach to software development -- Be-haviour Driven Development. The aim of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with the de-scribed methodology. Firstly from a theoretical perspective with emphasis on applying it in software projects and in collaboration with customers, secondly from a more practical view, where the thesis presents some of the tools that are used in this style of software development, namely the framework Cucumber JVM and specification by example. For this purpose, the thesis presents an example of a little software project, where the principles of Behaviour Driven Development were applied. As the Behaviour Driven Development is one of the agile approaches, the introductory part of this thesis briefly describes such approach and compares it with the traditional approach to create a context for the following theoretical and practical part.
Long Time Measurement of Aerosol Hydroscopicity at Košetice Backround Station
Ondráček, Jakub ; Vodička, Petr
This work describes the design of the LACP HTDMA and some of the results obtained during long time measurement at Košetice background station (Czech Republic), where it was deployed within the frame of two EU projects (EUSAAR and EUCAARI). The measurement campaign lasted from May 2008 until September 2009 with smaller or larger gaps in the data coverage.

Diurnal Trends of Carbonaceous Aerosols at Prague Suburban Station during Different Seasons
Vodička, Petr ; Schwarz, Jaroslav
This work offers insight into diurnal oscillations of EC and OC at Prague suburban site (Central Europe) during different seasons. The observed seasonal trends were compared with correlations for gaseous pollutants and meteorological variables and used to characterize the origin of these aerosols.

Comparison of Organic and Elemental Carbon in Aerosols: City vs. Background Stations
Vodička, Petr ; Schwarz, Jaroslav
This work deals with comparison of organic and elemental carbon in aerosols: city vs. background stations.
Aerosol Mass Spectrometer: First Measurement Experiences and Comparison with the ECOC Analyzer
Vodička, Petr ; Ondráček, Jakub ; Schwarz, Jaroslav
The work introduce aerosol mass spectrometer to the Czech aerosol community and compares the results with those measured by the ECOC analyzer.
Analysis of Elemental and Organic Carbon Eerosols: Crossroad vs. Suburban Area
Vodička, Petr ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Smolík, Jiří
Contribution present measurements of elemental and organic carbon aerosols during three measuring campaigns in periods 12.-15.5.09, 24.-27.8.09 and 6.-9.10.09. Measurements were performed in parallel at the crossroad Kamýcká-Suchdolská (outskirt part of Prague) and the Institute ICPF areal (urban background station). Measurements were carried out on on-line devices, in the two-hour intervals, with temperature program Eusaar2 on PM2.5 size fractions. The measurement results show that the field on-line device for measuring ECOC are suitable for monitoring of emissions from transport. Two-hour time resolution it allows to monitor the traffic intensity fluctuations caused by air pollution.
Organický a elementární uhlík s vyšším časovým rozlišením ve frakci PM2,5 v Suchdole
Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Vodička, Petr ; Smolík, Jiří
We installed semi on-line field EC/OC analyzer from Sunset Labs, that allows the determination of these elements in hourly intervals. Such time resolution can help to distinquish between sources which have different intensities during 24 hours. First results of these measurements are the subject of this contribution.
Quest for protein biomarkers of neural stem cells differentiation
Skalníková, Helena ; Halada, Petr ; Vodička, Petr ; Motlík, Jan ; Horing, O. ; Jensen, O. N. ; Gadher, S. J. ; Pelech, S. ; Kovářová, Hana
Understanding neurogenesis and neural cell differentiation presents a unique challenge for treatment of nervous system disorders. To gain more insight about molecular mechanism of differentiation of neural cells, we applied different proteomic approaches using classical 2-DE followed by MS and antibody microarrays. Based on 2-DE, profile of constituent proteins of neural stem cells and their differentiated progenies was estabilished at first and then the protein species that are significantly up or down regulated during the differentiation were selected. Differentiation of neural cells was accompanied by changes in the expression of proteins involved in DNA and RNA binding, mRNA processing and transport, stress responses, iron storage and redox regulation. Immunoblot verified changes of hnRNP A1, hnRNP A2/B1, RafB, heme-oxygenasy 2, GRK2 proteins and alphaB-crystallin (S45), CDK1/2 (Y15), PKC mu (S738+S742), proline-rich Akt substrate (T246) phosphorylations during differentiation.
